Yes, you can. You'll want to experiment & figure out how long it takes to hit you 1st. When I 1st started it, I would go to the bathroom within hours of taking it - explosively. After 2 or 3 days, everything settled down to just going one & done after taking it. At that point, it was taking longer to hit me. I started taking it at bedtime & would go in the morning after waking for the day. Again, 1 & done. Sometimes, I may go once every other day now, but mostly I'm still going daily.
I take 145mcg & have been on it for about 2 months now. It's been a real game changer for me. Prior to Linzess, I was lucky if I went 2 or 3 times per week & sometimes it would be more than a week. I had frequent stomach pain, also. I haven't had any stomach pain since beginning it.
Good luck.
Male 67 years with chronic constipation have taken linzess (145mg) for over 1 month with success. Once I tried taking it before bed and found myself running to the toilet before I could say holly molly. I take the drug at the about same time every day (6:00 am) with a large glass of water. Within 30-45 minutes, I have a BM. Fortunately, My system is very responsive to the drug. You will want to experiment with your response time.
