Is it safe to cut medications in half if the pill is not scored?

Yes, it is okay to cut tablets in halve even if they aren't scored. Use a pill cutter and that will make it easier.

However, you must never cut pills which have any sort of controlled release coating on it ... such as enteric coated, sustained or extended release, etc.
