Hi there rotem einhorn. I as puckiemull, have ocd. Had It since I was a youngster. Just curious why you stopped the medication(s). Was it because you were with child? Nausea, was a culprit. I had it for several years, but it was my anxiety that was causing it. I honestly think that maybe you should try and go back on a medication. ocd rarely disappears on its own accord. The medication helps control the rituals. At least in my case, and it makes that part of my life more bearable. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
Yea i agree with you Pledge,
I think anxiety has a big part of the "sick feeling",it definitely does'nt help along with the ocd and yes the meds help control the rituals.
Hi rotem,
My bf has OCD, he feels sick to his tummy as well when he "thinks" he smells..see, he takes 8 showers a day and repetively puts deoderent on... He started taking a wide variety of medications such as; Bentyl, Carafate, Pepcid, and the best one is phenergen... If he takes all of them as prescribed, he has no problems w/nausea. Talk with your PCP and ask for a referral to a Gastrointestinal(GI) doc, they will def be able to help. If anything try pepto,(I'm sure you already have), but there is an array of otc meds that help with nausea.
I wish you the best of luck, and let me know how things go please!
Truly yours,
Haley Jade
"the best one is phenergen"
Sorry... it's Phenergan
Promethazine is the generic for Phenergan, it reaalllyyy is the best for nausea, so I've heard... Well, and when I got bad nausea after taking a couple of my pain pills for the first time, I took one and the nausea just went away within minutes... it's great! It does make you a little sleepy but as with all meds, you are going to have side effects. Good Luck!!!
Hi rotem,
Yes my experience with OCD which i still suffer with,i would get the feeling like i would throw up-if i didnt get my cleaning around my house sorted and everything in its place,it sounds silly to those who do not suffer from it,but in my case,i would get a sick feeling in my stomach if things were'nt right or my chores were catching up with me,i make lists in my head for things i have to do and if its interupted i get very agitated,is that what you mean??Everyone suffers with OCD differently, some its washing hands/cleaning their house/scrubbing their utensils or with washing clothes/having everything in order. I have it with my house-the scrubbing/cleaning/washing and i lose it if everything is'nt in its place, which is hard bcoz i have a 2year old son,so things dont get to be the way i want them when he is around, lol, but i'm learning to deal with it,i am on meds for it which help a little but i know i still sound crazy as i write this.
I feel for you,its a horrible way to be,i wish i could be like others who dont suffer like this..
Hope this helps, would you consider going back on the meds?
