Cephalexin - I am allergic to Sulfa and this smells like Sulfa. Is it? Please let me know asap.

You didnt state the name of the medication but I see you joined the group for cephalexin. If it is Cephalexin you are asking about, then no, it is not a Sulfa drug. It is a cephalosporin. Cephalosporins are closer to penicillin types of drugs so if you are allergic to penicillins, you may have a cross allergy to cephalosporins too.
