I’ve been taking hydrocodone for years now and have not had the side effect of itching.
I don’t take it unless I absolutely can’t stand my pain anymore. I took 1 today after a few days without it.
Now I’m having horrible itching everywhere and it won’t stop!
Could it be the hydrocodone, or is it something else?

Yes you can develop an allergy to anything at anytime. The same thing happened to me. After I would take it my face would itch severely. I stopped taking it and the itch stopped
Itching is a sign of withdrawal. Perhaps after stopping this med your system started to withdrawal and the one pill that you did take was not enough to curb this.
