my friend was prescribed phentermine.37.5 for weight loss.and took it last week.. however she is ordered to do a drug test. even though she was prescribed it. she doesn't want them to know.. she would like to know how long it stays in her system.. and should she take the prescription bottle with her.. thank you

3 day's to 7 day's depending if took the perscribed dosage or doubled up a bit. By all means do take the perscription with her as it will show positive for amphetamines. On the questioneir you fill out, DO list this as medication she has taken in the last 2 weeks. It's better to drop a dime on yourself than to loose your job for ommiting it.

It will show positive for amphetamine. Have her list all medications she takes, bring the bottles with her to the test. It is a legal drug. However, it is a controlled substance, addicting and often abused.
