Vet gave enrofloxacin but he has infection in this mouth. The tablets just don't go down. Crushed or broken mixed with food. Exhausted from it all.
Can I give penicillin to my dog?

Hi, Puppuppup!
You've probably tried these but mixed with peanut butter, applesauce, or in cheese? If there's no way of getting the tablets down you might ask your veterinarian for an oral solution liquid. Also, if you have a compounding pharmacy locally they can make the oral form for you.
Are you asking about penicillin because you have some you could use? Then, no you can't unless your vet gives you the appropriate dosage for your dog's weight. Canine dosages vary greatly from human dosages.
Best regards and best of luck with your dog.
