Hey Carhead You should not take expired antibiotic penicillin, tetracy, doxy are some of the ones with the shortest shelf life and if it was given to you for something else you dont want to take it and get sick and if you see the doctor it might make something they give you resistent to what you have.CALL your doctor... these 2 antibiotics are closely related do not take it

Its never good to take an expired med. At the very least its not going to have the strength of a new med and won't treat as well. Are you sure its expired if its only a few months old?
Any medication that is expired will have a different affect on your body. It ranges from person to person. I would call and ask a pharmacist to ensure quality of the medicine. You never know what can go wrong if the medication has really bad side affects after expiration date.
Hope this helps!
