I agree it wont show, my fren is a Doctor and he helps me avoid the things that will make me fail, but if I do he covers me, but ever test I took it didnt show,
I have a question please help me figure this out! I had a drug test taken and my doc stated there was a trace of soma in my system! I am prescribed robaxin! Are their any similarities within the two drugs? I'm so confused I really need to prove to doc that i take what i am prescribed! Thanks hopefully you can help answer my question!
I took a twelve panel drug test. Soma does not show up in drug tests.
I have been looking for this answer all morning another thing I was wondering is if by chance anyone knew exactlly how long they do show up in ur system...
That varies depending on how much you take, how often you take it and what other medications you take. Most sources say 1-14 days but is altered by the above situations.
Soma is not a barbiturate.
Yes. it is!
Soma IS a "muscle relaxer" but has properties similar to a benzo bc it is metabolized into meprobamate. Soma typically shows up on a urine drug screen.
Meprobamate is a benzo that was more commonly used in the 70s. The therapeutic window is very narrow which makes toxicity more common.
What about soma in a blood screen? Cause I have always passed in urine test. But I was wondering about a blood screen
I tested positive for a narcotic a few days ago and they only rest 3 days back and I had ran out of my pain meds so the soma was the only thing I had taken in almost a week my new pain Dr had dropped me from them and my Xanax which I've had a hard time not having them I've been on it for two years and he put me on clanazipam and I couldn't take it cause I was a real bitch on them so he just took it away and I've been a nerves wreck and I know you are not suppose to be just pulled off but ya the soma showed as a narcotic
Some states in the Untied States have changed their Controlled Substance laws. SOMA is one of those drugs in which some states consider a controlled substance. The following list Soma as a controlled substance:
As of August 2009, carisoprodol is considered to be a schedule CIV by the states of Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas (scheduled using the states new controlled substance program which requires physicians to obtain, and include, a state "DPS" number as well as a DEA number on all Scheduled drugs) and Washington State (not verified, WA still using DEA scheduling). It is a schedule CIII in West Virginia.
If any one wanted to test for Carisoprodol they would have to purchase a single test strip that tests for Carisoprodol which wouldn't happen in most cases. Hope this helps!!
No, it does not, you may get those kind of effects from Soma, but it doesn't have the same chemical makeup.
so what does it show up as?bbecause it shows as something at my doc office... and it read positive for no Soma. when I was there 5 days late,,still wweren't very understanding... so what does it show as nbarb, benzo, morhine,,or soma?
Soma's and xanax, and all your benzo's are only one molecule away for being a benzo! I find that piece of info from a doctor who had a friend that worked for the DEA! And he is fight. When i was getting my somas, from my doctor, YES, there was a test for somas. But, it tested for almost 100 types of drugs. It depends on the panel drug sceen that you wre gatting Hope this was helpful! I found out out that my doctor, was sendind the urine tests straight to the DEA, for testing! My doctor teasted FOR EVERYTHING! But, he still lost his license to prat. Med's.! His license was suspended for over prescribing Medication to people who not did have Disk Degenerstion Degerorator, like i do. He had almost 1,500 pateints in his office. Maybe you have heard of him, his name was Cecil A. Moore. And was on the south side off Oklahoma City! He was a HORRIBLE Doctor. Now that i lost my doctor, i am on METHODON! I HATE IT. Not worrking at all for my pain and muscle spasams. I am at only 30 MLG., a day. For right now. Just to keep me from going through withdraws.
It is metabolized to meprobamate which DOES have the chemical make up of a benzo.
I suggest raising your dose significantly but slowly of course
So Soma dont have benzos or barbituates in it at all? I always thought it had one or the other in it.
No muscle relaxants aren't tested for even in a 10 panel drug screen. Most don't use a 10 panel because of the expense, but what's tested are.
Marijuana
Cocaine
Phencyclidine
Opiates
Methamphetamine
Methadone
Amphetamine
Barbiturates
Benzodiazepines
Tricyclic antidepressants
You have opiates down can they tell the differance bettween vicodon and percocet
Hydrocodone and oxycodone are differentiated, yes.
i doubt they test for tricyclics or any antidepressants but i aint perfect and could be wrong but i doubt it
Very informative and helpful, Thanks!
You are right about the ten panel drug screen, but soma does test positive for a benzo.
It's the same as any muscle relaxant - just make sure you list on the application they give you that you are taking it by prescription. :)
