How long do you have to wait until you can start a new muscle relaxer?
Does Soma show in a urine test and for how long after you stop taking it is it out of your system?

They last at least 5 days. If you think they are not looking for Soma your mistaken. Stop no less than 1 week before being tested. And they were rescheduled as a schedule IV and is considered as a drug of abuse.

That has happened to me as well. It appears the Soma ie. Meprobamate metabolites take at least a week or more for heavy usage, to clear your system. Ashame really, effective drug if you don't drive while on them.

soma does not show in a test trust me i take alot of it and i never tested possitive it isnt even narcotic

It will show up at the lab, but not on an instant drug screen. Like a cup you pee inor the kind you dip in the cup.

I've got to disagree, my pain doctor detected soma in my system 7 days after I took just one. The test are very sophisticated now.

Unfortunately that answer was posted back in 2010, drug screening has changed, as well as the rescheduling of Soma to schedule IV. Screeners are now actively looking for Soma and or meprobamate metabolites. Just be aware if your taking them be prepared to show a script. Better to be safe than sorry.

It stays in your system between 3 to 4 days. It is not a drug that they look for but it does cause a false positive for morphine.
Take your doctor´s prescription with you and let them know before they do the screening that you are taking this medication.

it does not show up at al... i took many test for court and none came up... and i took it the same day as the test

Rapid drug screening does not catch it. Once it is sent out to lab, it will show positive for carisoprodol or more to the point meprobamate. Both are considered drugs of abuse. I have taken them on and off for 20 years. They are effective. Acts like a short acting Quaalude.
