It's not listed as a side effect but when I took it for the first time it knocked me out within 20 minutes, it's not likely but I guess it all depends on the person. I did read somewhere that naproxen (aleve) does help you rest and sleep easier although it's for pain.

Naproxen making one sleep is not a listed side effect, maybe in your case it could be a rarity, best would be to talk to the doc/pharmacist who prescribed the med.
