Does having sex while you have a yeast infection make it worse?

As the other posters said, it can be given to your partner so sex during a Candida infection is not a great idea unless he is using a condom but it may also be uncomfortable for you. It doesnt necessarily worsen the "yeast" or Candida infection but it can aggravate the symptoms for you because it causes more irritation of the tissues. If this is your first yeast infection you should call your GYN to treat you. Other vaginal infections can have some of the same symptoms and it is good to get a definite diagnosis before you just treat yourself. The Dr can prescribe a pill called Diflucan which will clear up the infection without all the messy creams. Your partner may need to be treated too. Although he may not have any symptoms himself he can still harbor the fungus and reinfect you during sex. After you have been diagnosed, and you know for sure what the symptoms of Candidal infections are like, you could try using the creams if you get a repeat infection.

I've nly had ne myself freaked me out! What I do know though is that the infectin can be given to you partner and men with a yeast infection their manhood or litl man swells burns and itches so he should get treated as well. Now as for you the dc told me not to I believe because it is cntagious and quite uncomfrtable monistat 7 comes in I believe 3/7 days s yu will be good quickly and back t having fun.
