My doctor proscribed me tegretol CR 200 mg and I am using this around 2 years. Now in the market no stock of the tegretol CR 200. Can I use tegretol 200 mg instead tegretol CR 200 mg? Please suggest.
Tegretol cr is a slow release form. That's the only difference.
The CR version is formulated to release the active ingredient gradually so you do not have the peak and trough that you get just taking regular Tegretol. There is no issue switching from Tegretol to Tegretol CR.
