I have been taking 300mg XL Bupropion for 5 years and it has been working fine until the last few weeks. I contacted my doctor and asked what medication might help this blip in experiencing depression of late. I didn't receive a call back but did get notice that he put in a prescription for me to pick up for 150mg XL Bupropion. Does anyone know why he thinks this will help relieve my depression of late?
How does decreasing my current 300 XL Bupropion to 150 XL Bupropion help reduce my depression?

Hi, JHarrisCal!
Perhaps the doctor meant for you to take this in addition to the 300mg. I had the same problem and my psychiatrist prescribed it for me so I'm now taking 450mg/day.
I suppose though that you should try to reach his office again to verify the instructions.
I also think it would be an add-on prescription. 300 wasn't working as well anymore so now I am taking 450. It really made a huge difference for the better. No matter what be sure to always confirm with the Dr's office
