My mother's right hand has been diagnosed with "Ulnar Nerve - Cubital Tunnel Syndrome".
Dr advised her not to bend her right elbow, and prescription given are "gabapentin 100mg" at bedtime, & "DANEURON - Vit B1 200mg; B6 400mg; B12 400mg" at morning. Beside, she is given an elbow sprint to prevent from bending her elbow. However, her right hand last 2 fingers started to feel pain and numbness, and cannot even hold a cup. Due to her old age, 88, Dr not recommended her for surgery.
I have googled and found out some mentioned that it could be treated with "Steroid Injection".
I am urge to find out whether is it true that "Steroid Injection" could be used to treat above mentioned?
Can "Cubital Tunnel Syndrome - Ulnar Nerve" be treated with steroid injection?

Cubital tunnel syndrome may go away without treatment. If it does not go away, you may need any of the following:
NSAIDs help decrease swelling and pain or fever. This medicine is available with or without a doctor's order. NSAIDs can cause stomach bleeding or kidney problems in certain people. If you take blood thinner medicine, always ask your health care provider if NSAIDs are safe for you. Always read the medicine label and follow directions.
A steroid injection helps decrease pain and swelling.
Surgery may be needed if your symptoms do not get better within 3 months. Surgery will take pressure off your ulnar nerve. Your surgeon may move your nerve to a different area to stop it from being stretched or pinched. He or she may remove part of your bone if it is pressing on your nerve.
