I just talked to customer service. I was told the 1mg Teva green will be the only one available at this time. They are the same exact formula as before, nothing changed except these will not have a score line on them. She told me that the pharmacy will have to order a 500 count bottle because that is the only count they have at this time.
I am waiting for a call back from the Walgreens pharmacy in my area to tell me whether or not they can order these...
THIS IS GREAT NEWS!!! If I call TEVA, will I get this same info? I use Walgreens also, and will also call them to see if they can order for me!!
Can you please reply back with your findings KEE33?
Thanks for replying back with this info.. Walgreen's has been filling e with ACCORD, and I just cant do it anymore... I am hoping your info you received is good.
A lot of the pharmacies I am calling are saying it is giving them a "out of stock" but I called TEVA again just now to ask why this is happening and she told me because it was just released to the wholesalers it is too soon for it to be available to the pharmacies. She could not give me a time frame, I asked her maybe in a week?? And her response was possibly.
I do not use Walgreens. I had switched to an independent pharmacy, but if they can not order it for me then I plan to switch to a pharmacy that will.
So far Walmart told me it says out of stock, Walgreens is checking for me, CVS told me they can not get it, and my independent pharmacy told me that they have 6 bottles of Activis so they will not know until tomorrow if the owner will allow them to order anything else depending on the cost of a 500 count-
I am trying not to be frustrated, but thankful that TEVA is back BUT I only have 9 pills left for each day until my next refill.. fingers crossed they will be able to order by then.
KEE33,
I just called.. literally JUST got off the phone, and indeed your info is 100% TRUE. They have listened to their customers, and that is GREAT!!!
They told me the exact same, except that the rep I talked to said it might be 2 weeks until pharmacies might be able to start ordering because it is considered a new option, even though it is the EXACT same formulation from the past, but with no score mark as you said.
It looks like help is on the horizon, and hopefully NO MORE ACCORD K!!
my next appointment is one week... so worst case is I have to wait another 5 weeks, or best case, it is available in a week when I refill... we will see.
Anyone having any luck with the pharmacy being able to have access and order these?
No not yet. Talked to customer service again at Teva a few days ago and the guy said it could be about one month because the medication needs to make its way through the supply chain... disappointing for now
Right now? Actavis isn't making Clonazepam. They turned over a leaf also and it's Manufactured by: Allergen Pharma'. It's Far Weaker than ever before. The Only Manufacturer of Clonazepam here in Iowa? Is ACCORD and ALLERGEN. Neither are comparable to TEVA. Both are around 70% of the drug that many need. I'm Really disappointed in what "They" are doing. They do Not want us on this Anti-Anxiety/Panic Disorder drug. (Also used to treat Seizures) due to the Fact? What is going on with the Chemical Spraying. They want us all hyped up, turn on each other, fighting, and Death to us.
You Can get ROCHE cut out K Brand name Klonopin still. I Checked with my Pharmacy? YES, I can Get Roche. As long as Your Doctor deems it necessary that you really need the Medication? Your Insurance / Medicare .. etc. WILL Cover it. I suggest you look into the reasons why they are spraying the skies. Via' Y/T. Some Truthers out there and many Theorists. You can tell whom from whom.
I just saw a post today that said TEVA has brought back 1 strength Clonazepam, and they are bringing back the other strengths soon. I'm calling TEVA tomorrow to confirm this. I haven't recieved an email saying anything about it.
I got an email from a friend who said they are starting to distribute to wholesalers. I called my CVS pharmacy and they said it would be back between the 9th and 23rd. I called today and they don't have it yet, but probably next week! It will be the 1mg.
I hope they return the .5 mg soon. I believe that is the most popular strength.
I know they will. I think the 1mg will be the first and then probably the .5mg. I don't believe we will have to wait too much longer!
Can you confirm this with teva USa and let me know please I hope they release the 0.5mg asap I have not gotten a email about this either I sure hope it's very soon thanks
I called and they have released the 1mg and soon the 0.5mg and 2 mg tablets
This is so exciting after living for a year in hell! I just hope I can find a pharmacy that will sell TEVA brand, as my pharmacy said they will only continue to sell Accord. And will transfer my prescription. So many hoops we have to jump through it's ridiculous!
Any updates? Has anyone actually gotten the 1mg from their pharmacies and if so, which pharmacy?
I talked to Teva today and the consultant said that the 1mg are available. The .5 mg will available not long after. Just no dat on the release yet.
I went to Walgreens today and they don't have any Teva Clonazepam in their computer. I have no idea where I'm going to find it.
Thanks for the update-that’s the kind of info we need. Talked to Teva reps and they said they have distributed the 1mg clonazepam to AmerisourceBergen, Dakota Drug, and NC Mutual. These are distributors but I did some digging and Walgreens may use AmerisourceBergen as a distributor. I may go back to Walgreens and ask if they use any of those distributors, because if so they may be able to place a special order-but your doctor needs to write Teva only on the script
Hey folks,
I'm so desperate. I don't know how much longer I can function. I'm not getting any emails from TEVA. Please post when you have found the. 5 mg! And from what pharmacy did you get it.
Thank you!!
Does anyone know when the.5 will be available? And how will we know what pharmacy to get it from?
Does anyone know what pharmacies?
No Pharmacies have it as of right now.
They have also shipped to McKesson. Regardless the distributors have yet to make it available to pharmacies.
I also had a adverse reaction to a different brand about a year ago. Taken TEVA for almost 10 years now. Now switching over to the brand name. Even that one is still not the same as the TEVA. I would say it is the best substitute for me though. I have tried every kind of Generic Clonazepam with no success. I have a negative affect from each one of them in a different way. From nausea, skin burning, ear pressure, sensitivities, the list goes on. I recently moved to another state in a small town and they had 24 of the TEVA left at their pharmacy last week. So I went ahead and had them give me what the had. They worked great. I don't get it. I also don't want to pay the $250 for name brand when TEVA seams to work better for me and cost $10. So I went ahead and looked it up and found this thread. I am not the only one with the same problems it seams. I called TEVA today from the number above to see when they would be putting them back on the market.
The nice lady on the phone said that they will be putting TEVA clonazepam back on the market. It just won't be till the end of summer. She could not give me a date unfortunately. Please let me know if anyone else has anymore updates on this. I would like to just go back on the TEVA brand. Nothing seams to work as well.
After some extensive research it also seams when I look up the binding agents to each generic. They are all different for each company. So that might have something to do with it as well. I am not sure. As this is not my profession. Just a thought. I will just have to keep taking the brand name until further notice.
I have been tapering off of 1.5 mg daily prescribed clonazepam for 7 months now & have 3 more months to go. I’m kicking benzos to the curb & never looking back. I have so many sensativaties & other issues from this. It’s criminal that doctors prescribe thus medicine to us without a protocol to get us off. And that a big corporation like Teva can turn people’s lives upside down to save a few bucks
I too, am trying to taper off this drug. It is no fun being jerked off a good generic to a horrible one and then brand which has not worked in my case. I Pray it comes back. The last email I got was a yes.
You guys need to keep calling as if they are not aware that we’re are struggling they might cancel bringing the original formula back. call because they keep pushing the date back TEVA customer service at 888-838-2872 (option #3 then option #5) for customer service to ask them to bring back old formula if they ask you for survey or anything sign up for email notifications or anything, it all helps them to see how many people are really hurting over this awful decision .
Just sent them another email pleading with them to bring it back. I emailed and called them back in April and got an email stating that they would bring in back in 3-4 months which would be the end of July or August. I am hoping and Praying, as many of us are suffering.
I spoke to them 2-3 weeks ago, the salesman said they are definitely going back to the original formula, not hoping like they said months ago, definitely. I asked his name but forgot it. It’s happening like they said 3 months ago that it was gonna be 3-4 months so it’s still earlier than their rough estimate. Give it time, I say mid August. He said to call back in a couple weeks, they’ll know more. Don’t file any complaints with the FDA, I did and got a call from TEVA for more info, it’s pathetic that the FDA doesn’t do a quality check but rather they do and send the info to them. I say don’t file complaints with the FDA because as long as they have to investigate, it may take longer to switch because abandoning the old formula could raise flags for them. We’re all suffering here but the rep I talked to was very certain that the switch was happening.
That is great news. Thanks for the positive update.
I called last week and got a guy that was very angry. He said it was coming back but didn't know when. That was it. Not even a goodbye. I don't know how much longer I can survive on Accord brand. Or any other. Expecting a grandchild and I'd like to be able to enjoy her!
I called the number today. As I am having the same problem as you are. I am currently taking the brand name. Although it cost me so much money and my insurance does not want to cover it. Thats not my biggest concern though. none of the other generics work. Also the TEVA seams to work best even over the brand name. TEVA told me today that they still plan on getting the Generic back by the end of summer. Just no date as of yet. Please keep me updated as well. I have been taking the TEVA brand for 10 years and started on it. Maybe that's why it works the best. idk. Thanks for your feedback.
Just got off the phone with Teva, & Teva is bringing back the same Formula green 833 pill, Clonazepam at the end of this summer, get on their email notification & Teva will notifiey you when the original Clonazepam is back.
Has any received the Teva usa, blue color. With C 1 imprint on the front?are they the same as the green Teva usa?
Took TEVA for anxiety for more than 15 years, it worked great and allowed me to function normally. A few months ago pharmacy switched to Actavis. Was told it has same active ingredients. Strangely though, it makes me ultra tired and puts me to sleep, not at all the effect I need. Will call customer service and try email.
Great! We all need to keep on top of Teva to get it back. It’s my miracle drug. I’d email to start a paper trail and it’s what the reps have asked for,
call TEVA customer service at 888-838-2872 (option #3 then option #5) for customer service to ask them to bring back old formula and make sure you list any effects your having with the Actavis this has become a major issue and they are considering bringing it back 3 to 4 months mid to late summer but make sure you file a complaint with them and let them know after you talk to customer service
I talked to my pharmacy today and they said they will only sell Accord generic even if Teva returns to market. This is going to make it extremely difficult for me to find Teva brand in Las Vegas. Any suggestions? Had anyone else talked to their pharmacy?
Called TEVA yesterday. The rep said it is coming back, but didn't know when. He sounded very perturbed.
Maybe because people keep calling so... keep calling and I'm sure it will be in Las Vegas it may not be there preferred brand but you can ask for it and they can give it to you if not find a new pharmacy
Called Teva today. Was told they are bringing back their original formula 3-4 months. Keep calling them everyone! Maybe that will speed up the process. Prayers to all of you that have been suffering , we deserve a quality product. God hears our prayers!!
I just called TEVA customer service at 888-838-2872 (option #3 then option #5) for customer service to ask them to bring back old formula ASAP.
Get your doctors to call too!
When I called customer service 888-838-2872 (option #3 then option #5) for customer service a rep said they are going to bring old formula TEVA clonazepam back but don’t really have a firm timeline.
He said to email complaints about Actavis to tevacs@tevapharm.com and ask for old Teva back via this email
Not working email ? Send link again please
What!!! I've been in bed for 9 months because no other generic is working for me. Nerve pain and every other thing you can imagine! If Teva brings it back I'll have a life again!!! I've called several times but not lately.
Its back. Talked to TEVA today. 1mg back in stock .5mg coming soon.
I just called Teva today and spoke with a customer service rep. He told me they are considering bringing it back and to call back in 2 months as they will know more. I have been on Teva for years and it is the only one besides the brand that works. I got the Actavis and did half my dose with that and half Teva. Withdrawal started setting in after a week. Awful drug. I told the rep that we desperately need it back as the others are worthless.
TEVA old formula clonazepam is coming back in 4 months! All of our calls worked! Just got a call from TEVA rep in Ambler, PA.
Are you serious thank you lord I have a week left but have some stashed from 2 years to 1 year ago do you think there still good , I was told 6 months please message me back thanks
Can you confirm this in a email I called today and they could not give me a answer
Shawn.. yes.. they should still be good as long as they haven’t been stored in direct sunlight or hot or cold temperatures. I have some from 3 years ago that I stashed away and they’re still effective.
As far as them bringing them back in four months, is there more information you could provide Klonz? The rep called you?
@tia925 thank you they were stored in my pocket while taking then then put in my nightstand in a cool non damp area so do you think they would be ok or maybe just less effective or can they be harmful. Also I noticed that the dissolving tabs do they work the same as the regular teva is there a releasing agent I take 0.5 mg twice a day
Thanks
Shawn they should be fine. I wouldn’t worry about them making you sick.. the worst that could happen is they aren’t as effective due to your body temperature. I am not a pharmacist or dr but I’ve been taking this medication for 20+ years so I’m able to offer up my experience.
I’ve taken some that I accidentally left in a hot car for a week and they were fine.
The oral dissolving tablets have literally saved me. They are a one to one ratio to the pill version. I take 1 mg pill version so I take 1 mg of the tablets.
Overall effectiveness has been the same for me. I do notice some hyperactivity about one hour after taking the tablet but it passes in 5 minutes or so.
When I say due to your body temperature.. I mean from you keeping them in your pocket. But truly you should be A-OK
Sorry for so many comments all at once lol. The time release of the dissolving seems the same to me as the pill version. I only take it once a day (1mg) and I’ve not felt that sensation like I need more and more often.
The tablets are a little bigger than the Teva pills. You can break them in half (that’s what my doc said.. he takes them when he flies)
Ok cool I did call teva in Pa and they have been listening to us and are going to be released in 3 to 4 months so that is accurate I'm a happy camper I only have a few left but maybe actavis can hold me over or the dissolving ones thanks
Oh my goodness so it is true!!! Thank you both!!
I called Teva Generics twice yesterday and was told 3 months by the customer service rep who answered the phone and NO by someone who answered the phone when I selected the option for health care professionals.
I have called several times and was told by upper management that they will be releasing the old formula back let's just hope they stick to what they say but I encourage everyone to call and post what they have heard

I just called today 4/3/19 and was told by headquarters in New Jersey that this information is absolutely NOT true and that Teva will make a DECISION in 60 days whether to go back to the old formula based on patient and physician feedback. Customer service reps in PA are saying the old formula is coming back in 3-4 months but when I pressed further regarding the disceprency between what NJ and PA are saying they said they would need to investigate further and will call me back.
Please please please post any information you receive from TEVA so we need to know if we still need to call customer service to get it back
Called customer service again and they said they are bringing old TEva clonazepam formula back but are not sure when. Maybe we should call customer service and ask them to speed it up?
@Klonz I'm going to call everyday I would suggest getting your doctors to call also that would speed things up please post answers from customer service or even the main headquarters
TEVA is close to bringing back their old formula clonazepam but every call counts to speed up that process. Call TEVA customer service at 888-838-2872 option #3 then option #5 to ask that they bring back the old formula TEVA clonazepam as soon as possible.
Also, fill out a report on bad effects from Acatvis at FDA medswatch link below. Let’s gwt this done everyone
https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/medwatch/index.cfm?action=reporting.home
I have filed with the FDA and will call again today to bug them and hopefully they will bring it back I would suggest you call everyday post answers in post keep us all up to date thanks everyone
I talked to TEVA today and the consultant said that the 1mg are available. The .5 mg will available not long after. Just no date on the release yet. They are back.
I really hope this is true. Let's keep pushing till we get it back.
I need help. Need mass numbers of people calling Teva to get the 2mg pill back for us high dose clonazepam user's. I would love to see if Teva's clonazepam is superior. Need 2mg teva clonazepam back. NDC 0093-0834
For those struggling as I have, please look into TEVA oral dissolving tablets.
It’s been a rough few months until I began taking this. It has helped and I’ve only taken it for a week.
The Dr prescribed Ativan which did nothing other than help with the withdrawal from the TEVA Clonazepam.
Best of luck to everyone!
Does my doctor have to write the script for oral dissolving? I’m not sure he knows how to do that, how is your script written?
Yes. He/she would have to write
Teva oral dissolving (disintegrating) tablets MEDICALLY NECESSARY.
Otherwise they’ll just fill it with another brand.
I have Teva ODT that I need to start taking tonight. Do you let them dissolve under your tongue or can you swallow them? I know everyone reacts differently to meds but did you experience any side effects I should be aware of? Does it work faster? Felt like this was a god-send but someone else posted they got violently ill after taking Teva ODT and another poster said Teva doesnt actually manufacture it, some company called Barr Pharmaceuticals does. Nothing like having a nervous breakdown over the medication prescribed to prevent you from having a nervous breakdown.
I, too, am having a terrible experience with the change from Teva to Accord. It started almost immediately after the my new prescription but I didn’t attribute my feeling so awful to the new Accord. I though I had a low grade flu that just wouldn’t go away. Then my super thick hair started falling out and I haven’t changed any med but this. So now I’m trying to get Klonopin brand... my CVS pharmacist says she’s not sure whether she can even get the name brand. I’ve been taking 1mg. at night to sleep for 20 years... I stopped taking the Accord last night... I’m not going to try to taper because I think I’ve already been through withdrawal when my Teva changed to Accord. I know I’m not answering any questions - but though I would jump in with the rest of you and tell my story. Thank you to this community / now I know I’m not alone!
See if you can get the Actavis brand, it’s not as good, takes longer to work and is more sedating but it’s better than the Accord brand for me. I tried it once and returned it the next day cuz it didn’t work at all. I go to a small pharmacy and they’re super helpful in helping me get different brands. I haven’t been the same since the change but Actavis at least keeps me from going into withdrawal, I just take a little more but it’s anti anxiety effects aren’t as good as Teva and it makes me more sedated. Good luck and be sure to call Teva to address your concerns. They’re considering going back to the old formula and if enough people complain it might happen.
I had a terrible problem when teva stopped making clonazepam. My psychiatrist just started me on Par brand ODT clonazepam and FINALLY, I have something that works!! I highly recommend this after going through hell with many other generics!! Give it a try! It absolutely saved me. I take 1.5 mg per day in divided doses. Stopped my panic attacks completely.
i also called Teva they said 3 to 6 months and they are considering of releasing there old formula back in to the market which is a very good thing, i take 0.5mg has anyone found it in the states if so where thanks for the help. also any luck with the Actavis generic of clonazepam
Thanks
Y’all are getting TEVA CLONAZEPAM NOW? I was told repeatedly that it was gone & not coming back! The Teva/Activis switch made me such a mess! I’ve been through Accord, Activis, brand name & I’ve been having it compounded since October. How is it available now? If they’re ordering more, it must be back on the market. I was on the .5 not 1mg. I just wonder if tapering would be easier because Teva was so easy for me. Or if I’d have the same tapering symptoms regardless...
I really hope it’s the original TEVA that we are all used to but I think TEVA is probably just putting their stamp on the Actavis brand but I hope to god that I’m wrong and they go back to thePovidone K90 formula. I’ll be calling my pharmacy soon to find out.
Is it the same color as your old pill? Keep us posted & good luck with it!
Turns out I got the rest of the old supply... I was just filled with Accord, rest of Teva, and Solco.. lol they tried their best to give me the rest of whatever else they had other than Accord.. I really wish I could post a pic... I have a picture of 4 different kinds front and back
I’m a member of several benzo support groups. I joined when all of the symptoms started & I was trying to figure out was going on. Anyway, I believe I read a post from a member saying they had a pretty smooth transition from Teva to Solco. It’s not available in my area. For me, Accord was bad & Activis was even worse. But I will say, that Activis is similar to the brand name K. I couldn’t stabilize on Either one. Teva is just totally different. It seems to be the general consensus that Accord is worthless. Maybe you can trade them for Solco. Good luck
I talked to Teva today and the consultant said that the 1mg are available. The .5 mg will available not long after. Just no dat on the release yet.
None of them are available to ANY Pharmacy yet. They sent them to all of the wholesaler distributors and from what I understand there is a process that a distributor has to go through, certain protocols, before making available to pharmacies.
