That’s a good question. I have been taking the medication for many years, and I do occasionally get some minor dizziness within an hour after I take it. It has improved much over the years, and is something I can deal with since it works so great at reducing my anxiety. I hope this helps! Good luck to you!
Hi, Granlinda!
These are common side effects especially when first starting the medication. They generally subside over just days to a week or two and usually lessen as the days go by.
If you've been taking the medication for longer than two weeks let your doctor know that you're having these problems.
Meanwhile, your pharmacist can recommend OTC remedies for the nausea.
"Nervous system
Very common (10% or more of users): Dizziness (12%), drowsiness (10%)"
"Gastrointestinal
Common (1% to 10% of users): Nausea, dry mouth, abdominal/gastric distress"
