I kissed a boy who had an open herpes sore on his lip(I did not know at the time because it was dark outside and he kissed me on the lips real quick so I pushed him away) I'm concerned I may have oral herpes now and I wonder if I can apply a small amount of Bactroban to my lip to make the sore heal faster. Please help.

A cold sores doesn't count as being oral herpes. Our immune systems usually help us not get them. My Mom used to get them, and I never had a one. Stephen is right, it won't do a thing for a virus. If you should get one there is a prescription cream for it.
Bactroban is an antibiotic and only works on bacteria and will not do anything at all for a viral infection (Herpes. species; a collection of very similar viruses). Viruses and bacteria are very different and cannot be treated with the same medications.
You could well be okay, more than 22 years ago I had a very passionate holiday romance with a girl with coldsores (hours of lip contact per day. Stop me I'm getting nostalgic..); I'm 48 now and I've never had a coldsore.
I hope the last paragraph makes you feel better. :)
Good luck, Steve.
