Hey all! Not sure if anyone who was on this thread before is still on this. But I was on Humira for 10 months and have lost a lot of my hair. I quit taking it for other reasons about 5 weeks ago and it’s still soooo bad! How long until it stopped and started to grow back? I am miserable and feel so self conscious about all the bald spots I have already.
Yes. Very thin to bald spots.
Ive heard that it takes 3 to 6 months for humira to " totally " get out of your system from last dose. I am at exactly 4 months. My hair no lounger sheds. To be honest, I used Just For Men " dark brown " the month i stopped. I now see new grey hair growth. Anyone who says humira doesn't cause hair loss is probably a Dermatologist Rx pusher or abbvie nurse calling you from Barbados on abbvie vacation to keep you on the drug $$$
Hi there I was on humira for 7 weeks and it cleared my legs at 90% but I did notice hairloss to the point I needed to stop ! Had blood work done everything was good so I knew it was my meds..My last injection was on July 7th and my hair went back to shedding normal at august 3rd about 4 weeks after the last shot. When I say normal I mean under 100 hair when washed while on humira it was double that amount!!! dr has prescribed me cosentyx and say this should not happen
Hi there for me it took 4 weeks after the last shot..I’ve read it takes 2 weeks for most of the med tO clear out of ur body,
Now this answers my question I have been on Humira for about 5 months and noticed more than usual hair loss at first but the last two months I have been losing baseball size amounts of hair a day and have 5 quarter size bald spots. The only new thing to change all these months is the Humira. Does anyone know once I stop using the medication how long it will take for my hair to stop falling out? Or any tips to help it start getting strong? Please reach out to me on here I’ll be checking this post often now thank you.
I started taking Humira three months ago for my psoriasis. I am 72 years old and have had psoriasis since I was 15, in that time I have only had three bad episodes, the last was four months ago, it covered my entire body except for my face, even the palms of my hands and bottom of my feet. My scalp was completely covered and the Humira had no affect on it so I blamed that on my hair loss. My doctor gave me some drops to put on my scalp which helped, but my hair loss continued so am sure it is the Humira... I have to weigh which is worse... my bad skin or hair loss.
Yes I have lost my hair to Everytime I shower and my hair gets tangled very easy now to
I have been on weekly Humira Pen (adalimumab 40mg) for about 3 months and I have noticed significant hair loss the last few weeks. The only thing that has changed in my life is the addition of Humira. I am satisfied this is causing the hair loss. However it has decreased my levels of joint pain, irritable bowel, and blurred vision issues. I am currently able to function at a higher level than I have been able to for several years. I have been warned that it will lower my immune system so I have become more reclusive. My Best to you all.Jeff
