Has anyone lost the weight they put on from gabapentin?

I'd like to know the answer to this also. I'd also like to know how you weaned off of Gabapentin? I lowered from 1200 mg day to 1100 day over a 3-4 week period. Then I had bad anxiety one day, almost a panic attack. I had other reasons and several things going on but I had to wonder if it was that 100 mg. making a difference or just a coincidence.

I started taking Gabapentin about 3 years ago. I noticed the weight gain I gained 40 lbs over a 3 year period I have been trying to loose weight but noticed no change. Then I decided to look up my medication. And Gabapentin stood out. because I don’t eat heavy any more and the weight still no budging. So I am gradually am weening myself off it. Hopefully this year 2019 I can see a change I do have nerve damage but I have find another route with my doctor.

I would like to know the answer to this question also. I have gained 20 pounds in 3 months. I feel swollen all over and it doesnt matter how much i excersise, i keep gaining weight. I walk more then 10,000 steps a day, i drink plenty of water and i dont eat like a cow. Im so frustrated because before taking this medicine i had worked so hard at getting under 200 pounds, and im hoping when i completely stop this medicine i will lose this weight i have gained. I have only taken 2 pills this week and have gained 1 more pound. Im throwing the rest of my pills away and never taking this drug again. Someone please let me know if i will lose this weight after the gabapentin is out of my system.
