Does amitriptyline cause emotional blunting?

Depends on the person and dosage. The majority end up changing medication as its morning hangover is awful. Plus the higher the dose the more you feel like a zombie. I will say that amitriptyline is fantastic for back pain. I take 25mg daily at night and its literally saved my life. Good luck, definitely give it a try.
