Alpha Lipoic Acid and bad urine odor?

Yes I’m taking 1000mg daily and the smell is horrible

I just started taking a R-Lipoic Acid supplement - this odor is very prominent. These other answers are most helpful. Thanks to other responders.

You may be short of zinc. Buy some over the counter zinc tablets, should go away in about 2 weeks. Mine always does

Regarding :- Burning Mouth Syndrome.
It is caused by anxiety, for me there was no burning in the morning but gradually increased during the day to include ulcers around the edges of my tongue gums and inside my cheeks, very painful!
anything that increased my anxiety also increased the burning pain, I found that drinking coffee made it worse for me, probably the caffeine in the coffee.
The good news is that it can be cured by curing the anxiety, my treatment consisted of taking a 2mg Diazepam tablet in the morning and sometimes an additional 2mg if burning started during the day and of course avoiding coffee.

Yes! The same smell as if I have been eating asparagus. Maybe similar nutrients?

Yes, yes, yes, a definite Skunk smell for sure. It's nasty, to say the least. Dosage daily is 600 mg which is accomplished by taking two capsules. Taking this supplement for neuropathy of the feet unrelated to diabetes. I've been taking this since March 30, 2021, and it is not going away yet.

I definitely get unpleasant odor from ALA. Always have. I think greater the dosage, the more potent the odor.
