I have a UTI and am allergic to cipro-flaxen drugs AND penicillin; what medication could I take safely??

Yes, you can because nitrofurantoin is not in the penicillin family.

BTW: You take nitrofurantoin only if your UTI site is bladder, you cannot take this for kidney UTI.
