For Depression "Have anxiety and depression and have been on medicines for 20 years. Have taken Paxil, Zoloft, Prozac, Wellbutrin, Lexapro. Just switched 3 weeks ago from Prozac/Wellbutrin to Trintellix with Wellbutrin. Feel fantastic - much better mood, clear head, no anxiety. No side effects at all. Taking 10mg."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I have tried all the SSRIs and some SNRIs. Literally, Prozac, Lexapro, citalopram, Wellbutrin, amitriptyline, Remeron, venlafaxine, Pristiq, Paxil. I had slight symptom relief with Lexapro; however, the side effects outweighed the benefits. I started on 5 mg of Trintellix, I take it in the morning as it is a little stimulating for me. After the first week, I went to 10 mg. The only side effect I experienced is nausea, and that only lasted for about 4 days; it was not severe. I feel like a completely different person. If others have not worked for you, give this one a try. It has given me my emotions and concentration back."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I have NEVER posted about a meditation. I had to with Trintellix. This drug literally brought me from a dark hole, back into the light. I’ve been through most medications, and started to feel hopeless. I am so happy I have it, and don’t care if I’m on it for the rest of my life. I’ve been depressed since age 11. I’m now 41. That plus years of anxiety was enough for me. Please give it a try. I started with 1/4 of the pill to introduce it into my system. I was so scared of the side effects, I’ve read about. Then I went up to 5 mg about 3 days later. I only need 1 soda cracker for nausea. Ginger ale helps too. If you are truly suffering, give this med a try!"

For Depression "I just started two days on this drug. I was told to take it with food in the morning to stop nausea. First day my stomach was upset but no vomiting. Today I took it after I ate and within an hour or so I vomited so badly my throat is completely sore. Is this normal? This is such an expensive drug, even with insurance I paid almost $200. I don’t want to discontinue the use just yet but I am not sure I can handle the nausea and vomiting. Anyone else having these same issues?"

For Depression "Generally speaking, I don't like antidepressants. I've taken Zoloft, Paxil, Effexor (which was the horrible one for me), Lexapro, Prozac...seems like I'm forgetting one. They've never made me feel 'better' or 'happy,' just 'numb' and 'flat.' With Trintellix, I started off at 10mg for 6 weeks. I go for my checkup tomorrow and will be increasing to 20mg. YES, I DID get nausea in the mornings for a couple of hours after I'd taken it. Taking it with food helped. That is a side effect that, for me anyway, went away within a couple of weeks. I expect the same with increasing to 20mg, but I think it's worth it in the long run. I actually feel HAPPIER! More energetic, want to do things, etc. Has been a miracle so far for me."

For Depression "I struggle with severe anxiety, worrying, and OCD. I’ve been on Trintellix for 2 months. I started taking it because I was obsessing and catastrophizing over a toxic person. My thoughts would repeat in my mind, and I felt suicidal. It was a legal situation that I thought would ruin me. Wellbutrin 300 XL did absolutely nothing; in fact, it may have made me worse. So I started on 5 mg of Trintellix, and in days, I felt my thoughts more glued, and my fear and anxiety subsided enough to stop my suicide ideation. When this situation ends, I may not need it, but for now, it’s helping me out a lot. I’m on 10 mg now, and I think I’ll stay on 10 mg. One last benefit is my cognition/concentration is sharper; a bonus for work. Hope it works for you!"

For Major Depressive Disorder "I have been on 20 mg of Trintellix for 6 weeks now, and it has helped me tremendously. Previously, I was on the maximum dose of sertraline for 2.5 years. It worked well, but I experienced a flattening of my emotions, low sex drive, and restless leg syndrome. After a major bout of severe depression about 6 months after getting off sertraline, I tried Lexapro, but it made me sleep all day. My doctor suggested Trintellix, and I've never been happier with an antidepressant. I noticed an increase in motivation after a week. At 4-5 weeks, I felt like myself when I'm well. I am (so far) not experiencing a single side effect. I had mild nausea at the beginning, but that's it. I know everyone's experiences with medication are highly individualized, but as a trauma survivor who does 'everything right' (exercise, therapy, nutrition, etc.) and still experiences severe depression, I am so grateful to have found Trintellix. I will update this review if this changes."

For Depression "I had tried for about 18+ months to find a medicine that would help my depression. I bottomed out and was contemplating suicide. My doc prescribed me Trintellix. I noticed a difference the very first day. I was skeptical at first, but I got better and better as the days went on. I had a few occasions of nausea, and even vomited once, but that all went away after about a month. Trintellix saved my life, literally."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I wanted to wait a good amount of time being on this drug until I gave my review. I have now been on Trintellix for over 1 1/2 years and it works wonders for my depression. Prior to this medication, I was on four different medications including Cymbalta, Prozac, Wellbutrin, and one other, and none of them worked for me after a few months. This medication is for people who have serious depression and are looking for relief. I absolutely love this medication and it is the best I've ever been on."

For Depression "I have been taking 20 mg for about 1 month. I feel awesome. I have taken everything you can imagine and no success. I take this along with 3 other medicines. I have energy and no side effects. I couldn't be happier. I hope it stays this way. I was at a horrible place and now have hope."

For Depression "I've been on most of SSRIs, SNRIs & Bupropion. My depression started to worsen & my Dr. suggested trying Trintellix with a caution that 1/5 people suffered from nausea severe enough to stop taking it. I started on 5mg in the morning and I'm not sure if it was the Trintellix, but my mood and depression worsened to the point of suicidal ideation. Fortunately, I was in a hospital environment. I suffered nausea but it was manageable. Around day 6, I started to feel a little better. By day 8, I actually felt happy for the first time in a long time. Additionally, my thinking became much clearer. Cloudy thinking had been a problem with other SSRIs. I'm now on day 10 and increased to 10mg with no adverse reactions. One lesson I've learned is that SSRIs do different things to different people. Given Psychiatrists don't know exactly how these drugs work/differ from each other, it's a case of trying one, giving it 6-8 weeks to work, and if it's not working go back to your Doctor."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I switched from taking Trintellix at night to in the morning and it made a HUGE difference. I started taking this medication 3 months ago. During the first month, I didn't notice any major changes in my mood and was experiencing horrible insomnia (which wasn't out of the norm). I was ready to give up on the medication because there was no real change. So I figured what's the point? Then I read somewhere that someone suggested switching to taking the Trintellix in the morning, so I tried that. I have noticed a MAJOR difference. This medicine really works. My mood is better, I can get through an 8-hour workday without any mood disruptions, and perform regular chores when I get home. It has been years since I was able to perform a 'regular' day with chores. Before, I couldn't get through an 8-hour workday. Now I feel great. Yes, I do still have bad moments, but they are nowhere near what they used to be. I feel good, I am sleeping well, and I have lost some weight."

For Depression "I have been on trintellex (have worked my way from 5mg dose to 20mg) for 8 months now. Has helped with anxiety a lot. It got me out of a sad place initially but depressive symptoms came back after 4-5 months of taking it. I gained about 25 pounds and have stomach bloat. Sex drive is gone. I don't recommend trintellex for long term use. The weight gain and loss of sex drive only make the depressive symptoms worse"

For Major Depressive Disorder "I have suffered from extended major depressive episodes for over 30 of my near 50 years and had very little real success at life. Since my first few months on Trintellix, the clouds began to part for the very first time. I've been on the max dose, 20 mg per day, with 0 side effects and a whole new outlook on life. I've even taken on major projects that have led me to a new career and much happiness. There is a direct correlation between my starting this drug and feeling better."

For Depression "December 2016, I started on 5mg of Trintellix. I'd reached a point in life at 65 where my life was more than I could ask for: good job, strong marriage, good friends, healthy, and yet I lived under a dark cloud of fatigue and disconnection, lacking excitement and motivation. I was just maintaining. So I tried Trintellix. I'm now on 10mg. For me, I've had little to no symptoms and a rebirth of joy, motivation, and creativity. I've also added a weekly exercise routine at the local Planet Fitness. Between diet and exercise, I find this modern medicine to be a miracle. Of course, I realize my body will probably adjust to this feeling and I won't be quite 'euphoric' forever, but I now know what feeling good feels like."

For Major Depressive Disorder "So, back in the day I started with Wellbutrin, Lexapro, Zoloft, etc...tried it all and nothing was working. Finally, my doctor switched me to Trintellix. There weren't really any side effects when first starting. After about a month and a half, I finally felt something. The darkness went away. The despair, anxiety, and gripping hell that kept me from getting out of my own bed, it's all gone. As if it was lifted before my very eyes. Life is great now. I'm truly happy for the first time in years. Please, give this a try, push through the side effects, and see what you feel like after 1-2 months. It's a small price to pay for a better life."

For Depression "After switching doctors, I also decided to change meds to something that doesn’t make me agitated. My doctor suggested Trintellix due to the lack of negative side effects. To my surprise, he was right, not only do I not have side effects, I can see a noticeable difference in my depression. I no longer suffer from crippling anxiety and depression which prohibited me from accomplishing so much in my life, now I finally have a sense of direction and well, I’m content. I think I’ve finally found something I can take long term!"

For Major Depressive Disorder "I used to believe in exerting strong mental control to handle depression without medication worrying it will last forever. But this time after multiple occasions acting suicidal behaviors I realized medication is a must. Dr gave me a few options incl trintellix asking me to research myself and let him know (I’ve been studying this on my own for quite a while and I actually appreciated this approach) I chose trintellix. Starting off 5mg for two weeks and going onto 10. Suicidal thoughts start to go down quite immediately. But I still feel quite depressed periodically. Until after 2 months or so, when I suddenly realize that I start to really be able to enjoy life the way I haven’t been able to for a long time. I have my innermost confidence back. And my sense of humor comes back too. I didn’t just count on the medication- I exercise my mental strength too during the period and try to exercise. I think combining all these it really helped. And trintellix works exactly as I hoped."

For Depression "I have been on many antidepressant medications for years. The last prescription was mirtazapine. Weight gain was ridiculous. My new doctor has prescribed 5 milligrams for the first two weeks then increase to 10 milligrams. After the first week, I feel amazing. I've had no side effects. I want to get out of bed, get dressed, open the window shade for sunshine. I have not felt this good in a very long time. Two thumbs up kudos to my new doctor for prescribing this amazing antidepressant."

For Depression "This medication is absolutely amazing. I've tried Prozac, Wellbutrin, Zoloft, Celexa, Lexapro, Viibryd, Paxil, and Cymbalta over the course of ten years. Trintellix was the first medication that didn't give the unpleasant 'disconnected/sedated' side effects of other SSRIs. As a male, the sexual side effects are minute. I began on 5mg for two weeks and achieved a therapeutic dose of 10mg once a day. I have my life back and it also helps with obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms. I suggest taking it right before bed, as it can make you a little drowsy."

For Depression "This medication has been a blessing. I have fibromyalgia, which has caused major depression. I have taken every kind of medication out there that treats both. Side effects from other medications were too much. My doctor prescribed this, although it does not treat fibromyalgia pain like most; it has made my mood much better. I feel much happier and more alive. I have only taken this medication for a month. Unlike most depression medications, I felt a huge difference the first day. Many people talk about the side effects of nausea with this medication... I did not have any. If I did, it was not a big enough deal to make me notice. Overall, I think this was the best antidepressant I have ever taken, and I have so far had no side effects."

For Depression "I've been on Trintellix for 6 months and this pill has been a miracle for me! I was on Wellbutrin for 5 months prior, but it ended up giving me anxiety so I switched. I've had depression for over a decade and nothing really took it away -- I did therapy, changed my diet, exercised. I still felt grey, lifeless and didn't care much if I died. My depression was never overwhelming sadness; it was quite the opposite: I felt nothing. Nothing gave me pleasure. I was just a robot doing what I had to do. It worked quite quickly, about 3 weeks after I started. I will always have depression, but I'm able to cope now. I no longer feel like life is meaningless. I now do things just for the sake of it. I finally enjoy normal events like everyone else."

For Depression "Have been taking Trintellix for 18 days for anxiety accompanied with depression Side effects started in first week. Everything from lowering sexual performance to constant itching with slight headache among others including insomnia. Feel worse than before taking it. Cannot recommend for anyone. Seems to bring on anxiety. Anyone suffering for so long with anxiety and depression certainly doesn't need this added pain. We suffer so much we'll basically try any new med for relief. DON'T TRY THIS ONE!!"

For Major Depressive Disorder "Been on a number of MDD medicines. This Trintellix is the best. It has changed my moods of depression to the better. I have tried others . It seem I had no energy, fatigued, and sat in the dark for a number of months . I was giving up on what would help me. I suffer from agorphobia as well as severe anxiety with panic disorder. Trintellix along with a low dose of at lorazepam has helped me cope and feel better. The company has been a blessing along with my doctor helping to pay for the trintellix. I would recommend!"
