"This my 3rd time taking it. First time I took it then after 2 hours stomach ache and diarrhea I thought maybe I ate something. Second time I took it then 2-3 hours later stomach cramps and diarrhea again thinking hmm whats going on with me maybe I need to see GI and today I took it this morning because of very bad migraine attack then after 1 hour stomach cramps and diarrhea again. Is it because of this medication? I'm not going to take it anymore"

"I currently take monthly injections of Emgality and have Botox every 3 months. If I have a migraine I have been taking rizatriptan for the past 6 years. My neurologist gave me a sample of Ubrelvy. My migraine went away in about 30 minutes. However I was extremely nauseous dizzy and sleepy. I became very lethargic for about 2 days. I could not get out of bed. Although it did work for my migraine the side effects were not worth it."

"So far so good, I have been taking this med for the last 10 months, I do take 10-15 pills per month as I get episodes in one month. This is the only med helps me out with migraines, nothing else is effective, I wish insurance will do it's part as my portion for 10 pills are $200. This med is the best so far, working on me."

"Before bed I felt like a migraine was coming on so took Tylenol to possibly so it from pressing. I woke up in the middle of the night with a full-fledged migraine, took one 100mg pill of Ubrelvy. Felt slight relief but migraine was still horrible so took the second dose. Within the hour was able to fall back to sleep and wake up pain free. Did not experience any undesirable side effects."

"Was so excited to try this after having OK results from triptans plus an NSAID. Price was only $10 for 10 - 50 mg pills through my insurance which was even better. I get monthly menstrual migraines so should last me almost a full year right? Wrong! I loved this because it gave me literally no side effects and took a bit longer to get rid of the headache but that was fine since I had no side effects. I am now as of this month on headache #3 which is extremely unusual because these DO NOT keep the migraine away! Every week like clockwork it would show back up again and I am thinking to myself what is going on?! Oh well, back to my good old triptans."

"This medication has been better for me than triptans but still not 100%. The side effects from all 4 of the triptans I've tried were still too much for me to return to normal functioning. I don't seem to get any direct side effects from Ubrelvy. I get most of the classic migraine side effects such as nausea, vomiting, photophobia, sensitivity to sound, visual changes (tunnel vision in my case) and insomnia. Ubrelvy does very well at reducing symptoms overall, along with reduction in head pain. However I can get stuck in cycles where I take it, symptoms and pain subside, then I wake up the next morning and I'm back to where I started from. This can go on until I run out of medication and give in to going to the ER. So I definitely prefer Ubrelvy to triptans but it's not quite perfect for me."

"I have been experiencing this non-stop headache (migraine) for almost two years now. Sometimes scary, sometimes bearable. I think I am getting used to live with pain. :-( When I saw the Ubrelvy commercial, I was so hopeful. I prayed it would work for me!! I took just one 50 mg tablet and within 20 mins I felt dizzy and nauseous, after half an hour my usually normal blood pressure jumped. And the headache, it became much stronger. I waited for two hours (as it is required) and took my good old Extra Strength Excedrin. At least, my pain went back to my usual 4. At night and the next day I was still dizzy and "not myself". Something is not right with this Ubrelvy."

"Updating after almost a year on Ubrelvy. Had incredible results initially. Chronic migraines since age 10, and I have tried everything. Initially this either knocked the migraine out entirely, or lowered it to a level which allowed me to continue with my day. I've never had any side effects at all. Unfortunately as time went on it seemed to become less and less effective until now almost a year later when it has almost no effect at all. Low rating because it simply stopped working over time."

"I don't know what to make of this migraine pill. I took it 3 times and thought I found a miracle drug. No side effects like I have with Imitrex. The next time I took Ubrelvy, it did NOT work. I was sick all day with intense migraine pain and went to bed. What a waste of life. The pharmacist said not to mix it with Imitrex, so I had to live with pain and nausea all day and night. The next time I took it, it worked! I think it's a 50/50 split. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It is very expensive. 8 pills for $1,200.00 but I had a coupon. Back to Imitrex. At least I can depend on it getting rid of the pain!"

"Wow - this med has been great. I’m the classic -get a migraine and think it will go away- girlie, and since it never goes away on its own - Ubrelvy has been a lifesaver. It ends the migraine and nausea quickly with one dose of 100mg and I have no side effects."

"I was diagnosed with child migraine syndrome at 18 months old and have had every form of migraine, vestibular migraine, and vertigo in the 42 years since. I’ve tried all of the triptans, cutting caffeine, avoiding bright lights, crazy diets, and lifestyle changes and nothing has ever touched the pain until I was given an Ubrelvy sample by my neurologist. This was a miracle for me. My migraines come on in the middle of the night so I usually don’t get a chance to treat them early, but once I got up and took the 50mg pill, it was about an hour and a half and I was completely pain-free - this coming from a nauseating eye piercing headache. I actually felt slightly euphoric once the pain left. I’ve now got a prescription and only take it when I experience a migraine. It’s helped even when I let the headache go on for hours. I have not had a migraine Ubrelvy hasn’t been able to take away and it has changed my life. Zero side effects as well. Cannot recommend enough!"

"Went from 72 hours of excruciating pain on/off with too many triptans and rebounds, to one ubrelvy putting me to sleep 4-6 hours and waking up pain free. Might not be good for active people, but it is lifesaver for me. Please make these meds affordable."

"I do not get migraines often. But when I do they leave me in bed all day. Was given a sample of this to try. 100mg pill. I woke up with a horrible migraine. Took the sample about 30 mins after I woke up. Within an hour I had extreme nausea, nausea like I have never experienced. It didn't stop there. I began to dry heave, I could feel my stomach just contracting over and over, to the point where eventually I started throw up water like greenish..... bile? The severe stomach contractions and vomiting went on for about 4 hours. I finally took some Promethazine and was able to sleep it off. But my stomach was still sore and uneasy for over 24 hrs after taking. I will NEVER take this medication again."

"Finally got in to see a neurologist specializing in headaches/migraines. My primary doctor originally prescribed 50 mg of sumatriptan which made my excruciating migraines go away within one hour. Except I started having heart and muscle weakness issues along with the usual 10-15 migraines per month. She switched me to 100mg Ubrelvy (50mg did nothing). It worked within 2 - 2 1/2 hours. Except I would still get migraines 10-15x per month, especially at night if I tried to sleep on my side. The specialist then added 2mg of tizanidine at bedtime. I can now sleep on my side or back and have 4-5 migraines per month instead of 10-15. The specialist said because my migraines are most likely caused by an old whiplash injury sumatriptan is best except for side effects - quite a few people get heart issues from sumatriptan. Ubrelvy has no generic, so it is a lot more expensive than sumatriptan. Thankfully they have a zero-cost assistance plan which I've qualified for over the last 1 1/2 years"

"Awful. I've tried the 50 mg which didn't work so we opted to try the 100 mg. It just kept getting worse!! I can't take triptans or NSAIDS, so I hung my hopes on this one. It turned a regular migraine into a absolute nightmare migraine (though this is more likely the fact that it never worked at all). What I ended up with was mega nausea and the inability to sleep even after I finally took Phenergan to at least try to sleep it off."

"I love this migraine medication. Unlike others in this review section, I have not tried other migraine medications. This was the first migraine medication I have ever tried and it almost makes me want to cry from the relief I feel from my migraines. I normally take one 50mg tablet and it does the trick. My migraines normally span 1-3 days in one attack, sometimes I have to take two. Sometimes I worry about having “withdrawal” migraines, but I don’t think I’ve had that yet with Ubrelvy. Please PLEASE be aware that if you are in the United States, your insurance will give you one heck of a time trying to cover this medication. This medication, for me, is $1,016 USD for 10, 50mg tablets WITHOUT insurance. However, with the “coupon” given to me by my doctor it is $10 USD WITH insurance. I am able to take this medication on an empty stomach, or will a full stomach and the side effects are minimal to none."

"I took Ubrelvy 50mg for the first time today. My migraines have become very frequent and I feel that Imitrex is only giving me a few hours of relief before the pain comes back and I need to take a new pill. My dr. recommended trying Ubrelvy saying that it will work better than the triptan and that I will have less side effects. I guess it is not for me.1) didn’t get rid of the pain until after 8 hours 2) made me nauseous 3) made me very dizzy and sleepy and when I sat on the sofa to rest, I started having terrible allucinations. This happened to me when I took Percocet after a surgery a fee years ago and it was horrible. From that time on I’ve never accepted a prescription from pain relievers and I will never take Ubrelvy ever again."

"I have used Ubrelvy 50mg and 100mg approximately 25 times each over the course of 11 months. It occasionally seems to do some good, but never eliminates the pain and usually does little or nothing for me. I have tried repeating the dose after two hours, as the instructions permit, and am skeptical whether it has helped -- but have not tried systematically enough to have a solid opinion. I am not aware of any side effects. My headaches seem to be from tension rather than vascular, so the drug may be better for someone else's kind of migraine."

"I have suffered with clustered migraines for over 25 years. I tried soooo many medications with no relief. I saw a few Neurologist even went to the Mayo clinic to seek medical treatment. I tried the Emgality injection for a year with only 1 week of pain relief. When my PCP recommended this to me it was as if he gave me my life back!! My eyes get watery just thinking about it. It was prescribed a month ago and I've only taken 5 in a month. I LOVE IT!!! Thank you!!!"

"I used to be on triptans that worked great for me, first sumatriptan then rizatriptan and out of nowhere both stopped working for me, so I switched to Ubrelvy. I definitely think there is an adjustment period with this medication, I did not like it at first but now I don’t have any of the side effects I first had when I started to take it… sleepiness, brain fog, weird chest pain. It does make my migraines worse before it makes them better but once the headache is gone it’s gone. I never have to take more than 1 and it typically relieves the migraine in 2 hours. For anyone who liked triptans and they stopped working for them, I definitely recommend."

"Had one dose and worked a little. Then next dose the next day didn’t work at all. Then I had the worst constipation of my life. Nothing worked to relieve it. I could feel the stools like rocks in my bowels for days moving very slowly. Never using any kind of drug like this again. And my doctor said “here, take this sample. It has few side effects.”"

"I've never reviewed any medication in my life and I don't take anything besides Ubrelvy. I have suffered from migraines for nearly a decade but I felt compelled to review Ubrelvy because it simply changed my life. I considered myself disabled and was always scared of having a migraine attack, especially when around my young son. Ubrelvy does take about 2 hours to start working but once it does it lasts the entire day and you forget you even had a migraine. It is AMAZING! you do feel tired and sleepy but I can deal with that as long as the migraine and nausea goes away."

"Just took my third dose of this in less than a week. Saw other migraine sufferers buying this so I asked my Dr for a prescription. Currently had been on relpax for years. Relpax works wonders but leaves me so tired and thirsty. This stuff does nothing. Nada. Zilch. No pain relief. I might as well be eating candy for my pain. It's that bad. Don't buy the hype and don't get it if your migraines are on the bad side. You will be suffering waiting for relief that never comes. Back to relpax and naps. Insurance didn't cover but with coupon was twenty dollars."

"Took 50 mg Ubrelvy tablet for the first time two nights ago. The drug took 2-3 hours to work, but it did dispatch my stubborn migraine (of several days duration). Side effects were noticeable the following day and night. They included extreme leg cramps (back of left thigh), nausea, stomach pain and stomach cramps, dry mouth, dehydration, excessive thirst, a horrible taste in my mouth, and olfactory distortions, Everything smelled like cigarettes. While I was relieved that this drug got rid of my migraine, I probably won't take it again. Triptans, Fioricet, Prednisone and Aimovig have helped dislodge them with less onerous side effects."
