"I love Ubrelvy! My migraines are severe and chronic. I get at least 7-8 vascular migraines a month and they can last for days. I've taken many different drugs over the past 10 years or so. This is why I had little trouble getting insurance to pay for it. Maxalt was losing its effectiveness, not to mention the drowsiness, muscle pain and mental fog it would cause was wearing on me. It made it difficult to go to work and drive because I was always worried about getting a migraine and either not being able to drive home or having to wait for treatment until it was too late for it to work. I feel like Ulbrelvy works as good as, if not better than, Maxalt. One 100mg pill gets rid of 7 out 10 migraines, but it always at least eases the pain. The only side effect I get is an upset stomach if I haven't eaten anything. It can be very painful and nauseating, but food seems to do the trick for me. Once I eat, I'm good. And I can drive and treat a headache at work!"

"Ouch, this medicine made my migraine SO MUCH worse...did not help at all, it was a migraine of a 4 in pain and after this medicine it shot to 9. I tried the medicine again 5 more times and same result. The medicine simply does not work and makes my migraines way more of a problem than before. Ouch ouch ouch. Don't walk, run away from this medication, would rather be in the ER."

"I’m so blown away by the reviews here. I switched to Ubrelvy 6 months ago after suffering a mental breakdown on Imitrex. I was using it so often that I could predict my rebound migraines. In 5 years of Triptans, I developed severe depression from them (google serotonin and imitrex)-not uncommon I learned after asking my neurologist. Ubrelvy does not make me tired, sick, or anxious, it doesn’t make my heart race. It has only failed me once so far verses Imitrex failing about 20% of the time. Ubrelvy does take 2-3 hours to kick in. It slowly slowly clears up the pain until I just forget it was there. I will say I was super disappointed when I first took it because it took so long to kick in. I’m nervous for the long term side effects always with new drugs, but hopefully these CRGP inhibitors will be useful for me."

"This medication Ubrelvy is absolutely TERRIBLE!!!! Beware! I took 50mg the first time and it did absolutely nothing for me. Went back to my neurologist and they gave me 100mg to try. After I took it I got so dizzy and sleepy I actually got into a terrible car accident. I didn’t realize how sedated and dizzy this med can make you. "

"I have been a migraine sufferer for years. Triptans were the only thing that really worked for me, but I HATED taking them. It cured the headache, but the rest of body seemed to shut down after taking them. My throat and all my muscles would hurt and the slightest physical exertion felt impossible after taking the triptan (Zomig). My doctor just gave me a sample of Ubrelvy, and I was skeptical, but it really helps. The downsides are 1- it takes longer than Zomig to work in my opinion. Almost 2 hours vs 30 minutes for relief 2- it may be slightly less effective at eliminating all pain, but gets it to a very tolerable level. It does seem to make me a little sleepy, but it is not nearly as debilitating for me as the Zomig. I think it is safer too for us older sufferers."

"Ubrelvy did absolutely nothing for my migraines. The only thing it did was was cause vomiting and a worse migraine. Then came the skin itching and burning. Drove me insane and along with that mania. Definitely not a good medication for me. I was so hoping it would work after using every other medicine and botox."

"Had migraine/headache for a week. Went to my general doctor to get a referral to a pain specialist. He gave me this new medicine to try out. I took it when I got home and head lessened, then the two hour mark took the second. It is now 5 hours since first pill and I feel like I can finally relax. Head is so much better. I am happy I got this sample and would recommend to try! Worked great for me."

"I was first prescribed Ubrelvy 50 mg in February. After taking it for 5 migraines with little success, my doctor increased my dose to 100 mg. I’ve tried that with 3 migraines and I’ve still had no success and ultimately had to take Rizatriptan 2 hours later each time for any relief. I am discontinuing this medication."

"For me it’s better than triptans for migraines and the side effects are minimal. Plus there are no real drug interactions if you are taking medications for anxiety/mood disorders. With triptans there are interactions. You may get a little sleepy for an hour or 2, but it eventually “breaks up” my migraine to an adequate degree. You may have to take 2 doses but it has a long half life. I like it a lot, nothing is perfect, but it helps with little or no side effects. I only have 50mg samples for now."

"If your migraine wasn’t already going to make you vomit, this medication DEFINITELY will. I took the lowest dose of the two dosing options and still had severe nausea, not even ODT zofran could knock it out (on top of Bonine which is a dissolvable meclizine). The lower dose was not enough to knock out my migraine, disappointing given the severe nausea side effect. I haven’t tried a higher dose because vomiting is nearly as miserable as the pain for me, plus nausea and vomiting GIVE me a headache. Failure for me."

"I have only taken this once after receiving a sample from my neurologist. After having a headache for 8 days that did not respond to several other medications and a nerve block I tried this. I put me in a stupor for hours but my headache went away. I’m still pretty nervous about taking such a new drug but it seems to help."

"For more than thirty years, I have rarely had more than one migraine a month, usually a week before my period. Excedrine Migraine occasionally helped lessen the severity of my symptoms (nausea, intestinal distress, fatigue, light and smell sensitivity, and of course the feeling of a drill going through one side of my head). Recently I began experiencing weekly migraines. After a month and a half I asked my doctor for an Rx for Ubrelvy, which I’d heard about on tv. The next time I started to feel migraine symptoms, I took the lowest dose, one pill. An hour later I felt a bit groggy and postdromish, but the migraine was gone. For me, truly a MIRACLE. I have used for three subsequent migraines, all with the same result. This is the best thing that has ever happened to me, medically-speaking. Maybe it only works well for people like me, who don’t get migraines as often."

"Have been on it for 2 weeks now. Took it at the on set of a migraine and waited. The headache progressed and after an hour My head was pounding. I had to wait for the 2 hours to take the 2nd dose which I did. Another hour left and it felt like I had taken Tylenol. I have tried combining the drug with acetaminophen 1000mg + neproxane 1000mg to get relief while I wait for my next doctor’s appointment. UbreIvy is doing nothing for me. I want to get back to Sumatriptan though it doesn’t completely suppress the headache (which was the reason for changing) but it was powerful enough to take me from 10 to 3. Ubrelvy takes me from 10-9 after 2 doses."

"I received a sample of this medication from my neurologist yesterday and had to take one immediately. Two hours into my migraine, I was still in pain. I finally was able to go to sleep although my head was pounding. The next morning when I got up for work....the headache was gone but the hang over is crazy! I have never been so tired in my whole entire life."

"I’ve only taken twice (samples from my neurologist) but was told to take at the same time I took other migraine meds at onset. For me this is sumatriptan and ibuprofen, and when taking all at the same time it did seem to greatly help. I don’t think taking this by itself will do much (as others have noted). I did not have any side effects (some nausea but that is normal for me with migraine."

"My neurologist prescribed me Ubrelvy for my migraines. I tend to get them around my menstrual cycle. I was scared to try it after reading all the scary reviews but last night decided to give it a try. I took 25mg with a piece of toast at night in case I got sleepy. About 2 hours later, the migraine was gone. This morning when I woke up, I was surprised how good I felt. I'm sensitive to a lot of meds but didn't have any horrible side effects to Ubrelvy. It gave me a slight stomach ache and a little dry mouth but that's about it. I wish I would've tried it sooner. I'm glad I finally found something to cure my horrible migraines!"

"I know people either love it or hate it, but I'm in the middle here. I took it for the first time today when I noticed I had a slight migraine with a little light sensitivity. I'd say the migraine was a 3 or 4, and a storm was coming, so I expected it to get worse. I took the pill and then tried to forget about it, so I wouldn't anticipate any side effects into existence. I did get slight nausea & mouth watering, but that was alleviated by laying down. I also had some chills. The headache went up to a 5 or 6 before getting better. I did get very sleepy, so after about 4 hours of sleep, I woke up without the migraine at all. I didn't have brain fog, so that's a benefit over Zomig, which is usually what I take. At least with Zomig, I know it's working when I feel the side effects and it kicks in quicker. Ubrelvy takes forever, and I don't think I'll be using it if I'm out or in the office since I think I'll need a bed nearby. Advice: at first, take it with a mild migraine & don't drive."

"Ubrelvy has been a lifesaver for me! Better than triptans and I think it is safer. It also does not affect my athletic abilities. Knocks out a 72-hr attack with one pill. Now down to just two pills per month! Love this innovative med!"

"I wanted to love Ubrevly so much. Unfortunately, it just isn’t for me. After trying it on 4 separate occasions, my migraines became worse after every time. I always ended up taking Excedrine migraine a couple hours later which did the trick immediately. This was my first time trying a prescription migraine medicine, so I was bummed about my negative experience."

"I normally take dihydroergotamine because it doesn’t mess with my serotonin levels (Imitrex) plus anxiety meds triggered serotonin syndrome for me) so when my neurologist said Ubrelvy can be taken with my current med and without affecting serotonin, I was excited to try. 50mg seemed to help, but I’d frequently need to take a second pill. My neurologist raised the dose to 100mg. Both monthly supplies of 10 pills cost $10 through the drug company’s copay plan. After a few experiments, I found that Ubrelvy on its own did nothing to stop my migraine. Taking Ubrelvy with my dihydroergotamine seemed to end my migraine faster, but left me pretty nauseated. Today, I could literally feel when my body started absorbing the Ubrelvy and I rapidly became too nauseated to do anything, which was unfortunate because I was driving. I’d even taken an anti-nausea pill at the same time as the Ubrelvy, hoping to head off the nausea. I am done with Ubrelvy."

"I've had success with Ubrelvy. I find if I take it as soon as I feel pain, it works quickly. I once took it too late and it took hours to get pain free and the nausea was intense. Otherwise, it just makes me really sleepy (a welcome side effect because typically the pain is so severe I cannot sleep). My insurance denied coverage for this, but my neurologist was able to get me a year's supply. Not sure what I'll do after the year is up."

"I’ve had pretty good success with Ubrelvy after many bad experiences with Maxalt. Maxalt gives me jaw pain, and the migraine boomerangs back the next day. Ubrelvy gets rid of the migraine faster and without making me sleepy most of the time, but the last two Ubrelvy that I took earlier this month seemed to increase my vertigo. I read the insert to look for drug interactions, and found that I can’t drink grapefruit juice when taking it due to dizziness. Other people mentioned muscle twitching— YES!! The last dose that I took a week ago had me napping due to the pain, and my right index finger woke me up twice because it was twitching!! I’ll have to talk to my PCP about it."

"Ive had migraines for over 25 years and tried every single thing there is out there if its prescribed or over the counter, I was given this Ubrelvy and was so hopeful it would work, in fact I was so happy that it did. Happy my neurologist gave it to me. So relieved. Thank you doc !! I know this is an expensive drug but I'm lucky I'm 100% covered being I'm disabled!"

"I have had migraines for about 40 years with little success with meds. Before Ulbrelvy I was prescribed Rizatriptan which caused a mild stroke. Then neurologist prescribed Ulbrelvy which I was eager to try. Absolutely does not work. At $1000 retail for 10 pills the cost is exorbitant. My insurance coverage was $850 so it still cost me $150 for 10 pills which was way too much. Would not buy again. Back to Excedrin Migraine, even though it has a risk of stomach ulcers."
