Active Ingredient

Each gram contains:

Oxytetracycline HCl Soluble Powder 1000 Indications

As an aid in the treatment of infections caused by or associated with microorganisms susceptible to oxytetracycline hydrochloride (HCl).

Calves: For bacterial scours and bacterial pneumonia.

Swine: For bacterial enteritis and bacterial pneumonia.

Chickens and turkeys: For the treatment and prevention of synovitis and bacterial enteritis.

Dosage and Administration

To reduce the development of antimicrobial resistance and maintain effectiveness, use this antibiotic prudently.

Calves and swine - For individual treatment, 5 g per 1000 kg body weight dissolved in water, twice daily for 2 or 3 days. For mass medication, 10 g per 900 kg of body weight to be provided in drinking water consumed daily for 2 or 3 days.

Chickens and turkeys - 100 g per 1350 L of drinking water for 3 or 4 days.

Note: Only medicated drinking water should be provided during the treatment period and fresh solutions should be prepared daily.

Warnings

Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 10 days for calves and swine, and 7 days for chickens and turkeys after the latest treatment with this drug. Do not use in lactating dairy cattle. Do not use in laying birds. When handling the product, avoid inhalation, oral exposure and direct contact with skin or eyes. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

Protect from light and humidity. Store between 15°C and 30°C.
