Lincomycin 110 G Premix Indications
1) To reduce the severity of Mycoplasma Pneumonia in growing swine.
2) For the treatment of Swine Dysentery (Bloody Scours) associated with Brachyspira (Serpulina) hyodysenteriae in growing swine, and for the control of disease following treatment.
3) As an aid in reducing the clinical severity of Porcine Proliferative Enteropathy (Ileitis) associated with Lawsonia intracellularis.
Dosage and Administration
To reduce the development of antimicrobial resistance and maintain effectiveness, use this antibiotic prudently and for the shortest duration required to achieve the desired clinical outcome.
1) For Mycoplasma Pneumonia: To reduce the severity of Mycoplasma Pneumonia in growing swine.
Complete feeds containing lincomycin base at 220 grams per tonne (220 mg/kg) of complete feed, should be fed to growing swine as the sole ration for 21 days.
Mixing directions:
To make medicated complete feeds: Add 2 kg of LINCOMYCIN 110 G premix to each metric tonne (1000 kg) of complete feed. The resultant feed will contain 220 g lincomycin base per tonne (1000 kg).
For supplements designed to be incorporated in complete feed: Add the amount of LINCOMYCIN 110 G premix listed in the following table to the supplement to prepare a medicated supplement.

2) For Swine Dysentery: For the treatment of Swine Dysentery (Bloody Scours) associated with Brachyspira (Serpulina) hyodysenteriae in growing swine, and for the control of the disease following treatment.
Complete feeds containing lincomycin at the following dosage levels should be fed to growing swine as the sole ration.
For Treatment: Where pigs have already begun to show signs of disease, provide 110 grams of lincomycin base per tonne (110 mg/kg) of complete feed for 21 days, or until signs of disease (watery, mucoid or bloody stools) disappear, then reduce the medication level to 44 grams of lincomycin base per tonne (44 mg/kg) and continue for a further 4 weeks. Repeat with the above dosage regime if the symptoms of swine dysentery reappear.
Mixing Directions:
To make medicated complete feeds:
Treatment Level: Add 1 kg LINCOMYCIN 110 G premix to each metric tonne (1000 kg) of complete feed. The resultant feed will contain 110 grams of lincomycin base per tonne (1000 kg).
Control Level: Add 400 g of LINCOMYCIN 110 G premix to each metric tonne (1000 kg) of complete feed. The resultant feed will contain 44 grams of lincomycin base per tonne (1000 kg).
To make medicated supplements:
For supplements designed to be incorporated in complete feed, add the amount of LINCOMYCIN 110 G premix listed in the following table to the supplement to prepare a medicated supplement.

CAUTIONS:
1. Treated pigs may develop some stool softening or mild diarrhea within 36 hours of treatment initiation. Signs of mild irritation and swelling of the anus and/or vulva may be associated with the stool changes. On rare occasions some pigs can show reddening of the skin and irritable behaviour. Should these reactions be more severe than described above, discontinue the use of the drug.
2. Not for use in breeding swine.
3. Do not use in feeds containing pellet binding agents, except Lignin Sulfonate.
4. Good manufacturing practices should be observed in preparing feeds containing LINCOMYCIN 110 G premix. This includes appropriate clean-out procedures to avoid cross contamination. LINCOMYCIN 110 G premix must be thoroughly mixed in the feed before use.
5. Do not allow rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, horses, dairy cattle or other ruminants access to feeds containing lincomycin. Ingestion by these species may result in severe gastrointestinal effects or metabolic disorders (i.e. Ketosis in dairy cattle).
Warnings
1. Swine treated at the recommended level of 220 grams of lincomycin per tonne (220 mg/kg of complete feed) must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 24 hours after the latest treatment with this drug.
2. This product may be irritating to human skin and mucous membranes. When mixing and handling LINCOMYCIN 110 G premix, avoid inhalation, oral exposure and direct contact with skin or eyes. Use protective clothing, impervious gloves, and a dust mask.
3. Keep out of reach of children.
NOTE:
No withdrawal period before slaughter is required for feed medicated with LINCOMYCIN 110 G premix at the recommended levels of 44 and 110 grams of lincomycin base per tonne (1000 kg).
