Directions For Use

Doktor Doom 4 Zero Nine C is designed for use for use in a wide range of automatic metered dispensers designed to release a metered dose of 27.5mg of insecticide every 7.5 minutes; 55mg of insecticide every 15 minutes; 110mg of insecticide every 30 minutes; or, 165mg of insecticide every 45 minutes. Within 24 hours the area is relatively free of flies and mosquitoes and with continued use reduces annoyance from them. Effectiveness of this product will be noticeable within one hour after the Dispenser is activated. Recommended use is for 24 hours: but if less than 24 hour is required, the Dispenser should be set to start one hour before control is desired and run one hour after control is no longer needed. One can (75 or 700 g) contains enough product to protect an area with up to 170 m3 (6,000 cubic feet) of free flow air space for about 14 or 133 days. Factors such as airflow rate, size of space treated, humidity and room temperature affect insect activity and control. As with any method of insect control, best results are achieved when sanitation and other positive insect prevention practices are followed.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS:

For resistance management, Doktor Doom 4 Zero Nine C contains a Group 3 insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Doktor Doom 4 Zero Nine C and other Group 3 insecticides. The resistant individuals may dominate the insect population if this group of insecticides is used repeatedly in the same locations. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action but are specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance-management strategies should be followed. To delay insecticide resistance:

● Where possible, rotate the use of Doktor Doom 4 Zero Nine C or other Group 3 insecticides with different groups that control the same pests in the location to be treated.

● Use tank mixtures with insecticides from a different group that is effective on the target pest when such use is permitted.

● Insecticide use should be based on an IPM program that includes scouting and record keeping, and considers cultural, biological and other chemical control practices.

● Monitor treated pest populations for resistance development.

● Contact your local extension specialist or certified crop advisors for any additional pesticide resistance-management and/or IPM recommendations for the specific site and pest problems in your area.
