Rash in Newborns

Your baby's rash may due to a condition called seborrhea (or seborrheic dermatitis), where the skin gets irritated or inflamed because the oil glands are making too much oil (sebum). Often called cradle cap, this common condition is harmless and usually goes away without treatment within a few weeks or months.

Call your doctor if your baby's rash seems to bother her or is getting worse in any way.
