Insomnia During Pregnancy

Medicines that stimulate the central nervous system can keep you up at night. Some of these include:

- Decongestants, such as pseudoephedrine or phenylephrine (Sudafed, Sudafed PE and other brands)

- Asthma medicines (inhalers, albuterol, or theophylline)

- Prednisone

Although taking these medications can cause insomnia, so can abruptly stopping them.

Do you currently take any of these medications, or have you recently stopped any of them?
