Insomnia During Pregnancy

Trouble sleeping often begins early in pregnancy. This is probably related to hormonal changes.

Sleep quality tends to improve during the middle part of pregnancy. Then it worsens again, starting at about the seventh month of pregnancy as the fetus enters a phase of rapid growth. As you get bigger, too, it can be very difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep.
