Dry Skin

If you have equipment for testing your blood sugar at home, try using it regularly. Otherwise, your doctor can order a blood test called a hemoglobin A1C that reflects your average blood sugar over the past 3 months. Persistently high blood sugar is a hallmark of diabetes, which can cause dry skin.

Many people do not drink enough fluids, which may contribute to dry skin. Make sure you stay well hydrated.
