Along with its needed effects, dasiglucagon (the active ingredient contained in Zegalogue) may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur while taking dasiglucagon:
Incidence not known
- blurred vision
- chest pain, discomfort, or tightness
- confusion
- dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
- fast, irregular, pounding, or racing heartbeat or pulse
- headache
- itching, skin rash
- lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting
- loss of consciousness
- nervousness
- pounding in the ears
- slow or fast heartbeat
- swelling of the eyes or eyelids
- sweating
- trouble breathing
- unusual tiredness or weakness

The most commonly reported adverse reactions have included nausea, vomiting, headache, and injection site pain.[Ref]
Gastrointestinal
- Very common (10% or more): Nausea (57%), vomiting (25%)
- Common (1% to 10%): Diarrhea
Local
- Common (1% to 10%): Injection site pain
Cardiovascular
- Frequency not reported: Hypertension, hypotension, bradycardia, presyncope, palpitations, orthostatic intolerance
Nervous system
- Very common (10% or more): Headache (11%)
