Musculoskeletal
Musculoskeletal side effects including osteomalacia, bone pain, and muscular weakness have been reported with the use of magaldrate.[Ref]
Other
Other side effects have been reported with the use of magaldrate including malaise, decreased fluoride absorption, milk-alkali syndrome, and aluminum accumulation in serum, bone and the CNS.[Ref]
Nervous system
Nervous system side effects including neurotoxicity and encephalopathy have been reported with the use of magaldrate.[Ref]
Gastrointestinal
Gastrointestinal side effects including rebound hyperacidity, diarrhea, intestinal obstruction, and constipation have been reported with the use of magaldrate.[Ref]
General
Simethicone has no known side effects.[Ref]
