Eplontersen Side Effects

Warning
Use only as directed. Tell your doctor if you use other medicines or have other medical conditions or allergies.
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have:

vision problems--trouble seeing at night or in low lit areas (night blindness), or dry eyes.
Common side effects may include:

eye problems;

dry skin; or

General
The most frequently reported side effects included decreased vitamin A and vomiting.[Ref]
Cardiovascular
Common (1% to 10%): Atrioventricular (AV) heart block
Frequency not reported: Complete AV block
AV heart block included at least 1 case of complete AV block.
Gastrointestinal
Common (1% to 10%): Vomiting
Genitourinary
Common (1% to 10%): Proteinuria
Local
Common (1% to 10%): Injection site reactions
Injection site reactions included erythema, pain, and pruritis.
Metabolic
Very common: Decreased vitamin A (15%)
Decreased vitamin A included vitamin A deficiency and decreased vitamin A.
Ocular
Common (1% to 10%): Blurred vision, cataract
