FDA Approves Alsuma Auto-Injector

June 29, 2010 -- The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Alsuma (sumatriptan injection) Auto-Injector for the acute treatment of migraine attacks, with or without aura. Alsuma is also indicated for the acute treatment of cluster headache episodes.

Alsuma is manufactured by Meridian Medical Technologies, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of King Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
