Weight gain is not a common side effect of Tezspire (tezepelumab-ekko). In two 52-week clinical trials, weight gain wasn’t reported as a side effect. Additionally, weight gain has not been reported in postmarketing monitoring.

Talk to your doctor if you have unexpected weight gain during your treatment with Tezspire. Gaining too much weight can lead to serious health problems, such as diabetes and heart disease.

Tezspire is a thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) blocker. It’s used for add-on maintenance treatment of severe asthma in adults and children 12 years and older. It is injected under the skin once a month. It was FDA approved in December 2021.
