You may pay as little as $5 per copay for Epclusa for up to 6 months. To qualify, you'll need to have commercial (not government) insurance, be 18 years of age or older and a US citizen with a valid prescription. The maximum copay you can save with Epclusa over the 6 months is 25% of the catalog price for 3 bottles of Epclusa with no monthly limit.

More specifically, you must:
- be a US citizen 18 years of age or older (or signing up for a coupon on behalf of an eligible minor).
- have commercial prescription insurance, such as that provided by your employer or that you bought on The Healthcare Marketplace
- have a valid prescription for Epclusa that will be dispensed in the US, Puerto Rico or US territories.
In addition, your prescriptions cannot be paid for by any state or federally funded program, like Medicare or Medicaid.

Who can use the Epclusa coupon?
The Epclusa coupon card can be used by US citizens with commercial insurance who are 18 years of age or older, or enrolling on the behalf of a minor. Epclusa must be dispensed in the US, Puerto Rico or US territories.
You must have commercial insurance and a valid prescription for an approved use to use Epclusa copay coupon. Commercial insurance is the type usually provided by your employer or that you have purchased on your own from the Healthcare Marketplace. The copay coupon card is not a form of insurance, is not valid with government insurance plans, and is not valid with a commercial or pharmacy benefit plan that prohibits use of the copay card or fully reimburses for the entire cost of the prescription. - Puerto Rico Government Health Insurance Plan
- or any other state or federally-funded government healthcare plan.

Why is Epclusa prescribed?
Epclusa is used to treat adult and pediatric patients 3 years of age and older with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 infection:
- without cirrhosis (a serious liver disease) or with compensated cirrhosis (mild or no symptoms of cirrhosis).
- with decompensated cirrhosis (deteriorating cirrhosis with symptoms) for use in combination with ribavirin.
Epclusa is an oral antiviral medication approved to treat all six major forms of hepatitis C virus (HCV) that contains two active ingredients: sofosbuvir and velpatasvir. Sofosbuvir is a hepatitis C virus (HCV) nucleotide analog NS5B polymerase inhibitor and velpatasvir is an HCV NS5A inhibitor.
It’s is available as an oral tablet or oral pellets. The oral pellets may be easier for children to swallow.
Epclusa can cure hepatitis C virus (HCV) in many patients. It has a 98% overall cure rate in all 6 of the main types of hepatitis C. "Cure” means the Hep C virus is not detected in the blood when measured 3 months after treatment is completed.
Epclusa is manufactured by Gilead Sciences and was first approved by the FDA in June of 2016.
