Ocrevus Copay Assistance: Do I qualify? How much can I save?
Each calendar year, you may be able to save out-of-pocket drug costs for Ocrevus or Ocrevus Zunovo of up to $20,000 and infusion costs of up to $1,000-$1,500. If you have commercial insurance you may be eligible through the Ocrevus or Ocrevus Zunovo Co-Pay assistance program from Genentech. There are no income limits for this program.
Commercial or private insurance is the kind of insurance usually offered through your job or that you have purchased on the Health Insurance Marketplace.
In addition, to be eligible for Ocrevus Co-pay assistance, you must:
- Have been prescribed the drug for an FDA-approved indication
- Be an adult (or an adult guardian of a minor), and live in the US or US Territories,
- Not be receiving assistance from Genentech Patient Foundation or any other charitable organization for the same expenses covered by the program
- Not live or receive treatment in certain states where this program is not valid (such as Massachusetts or Rhode Island).
The maximum benefits for the Ocrevus or Ocrevus Zunovo Co-Pay assistance program will reset on Jan. 1 of each year.
You may still owe money for a copay or other costs, even when eligible for this program. Your copays, infusions costs or other out-of-pocket costs can vary based on your insurance plan and covered benefits. The best way to determine your costs and savings is to contact your insurance company directly.
The Ocrevus or Ocrevus Zunovo Co-Pay assistance programs are not eligible for patients who have government-sponsored or state sponsored health insurance plans like Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Medigap, Medicaid, VA, DoD or TRICARE. This includes plans available through state and federal health insurance exchanges.

How can I pay for Ocrevus if I don’t have insurance?
You may be eligible for financial assistance through the Genentech Patient Foundation if you do not have insurance coverage or cannot afford the medication. Eligibility for coverage is determined individually based on your income or other factors.

How is Ocrevus given?
Ocrevus (ocrelizumab) was first approved by the FDA as an intravenous (IV) infusion treatment for relapsing and progressive multiple sclerosis (MS) to help reduce MS relapses and slow disease worsening. Ocrevus is used for primary progressive MS and relapsing forms of MS, including clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting disease, and active secondary progressive disease in adults.
In Sept 2024, Ocrevus Zunovo (ocrelizumab and hyaluronidase-ocsq), a subcutaneous (SC) injection for the treatment of adults with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) was also approved. Subcutaneous injections are given under the skin, not through a vein.
- Ocrevus Zunovo is given twice-a-year by a healthcare professional as a 10-minute subcutaneous (SC) injection in the stomach (abdomen) area. You may still spend about one hour or more in the clinic due to premedications and physician monitoring.
- Ocrevus maintenance intravenous (IV) infusions are also given every 6 months, but administration may take longer. You may spend at least 3.5 hours or longer in the clinic, depending upon the infusion rate and monitoring.

B cells and T cells are lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell) found in the immune system that are involved in causing damage to the myelin sheath.
