How long can Kesimpta be out of the fridge?
Kesimpta (ofatumumab) can be stored at room temperature (below 30°C / 86°F) for up to 7 days. This flexibility can be helpful when traveling or if refrigeration is temporarily unavailable.
Proper Storage Guidelines
Kesimpta should be kept in the refrigerator in the original carton to protect it from light. This applies to both the Sensoready pens and prefilled syringes. You can store Kesimpta in the refrigerator up to the expiration date written on the packaging.
Once you remove Kesimpta from the refrigerator, write the date in the space on the carton. This will help you remember how long the medication has been outside of the refrigerator. If Kesimpta has been stored at room temperature, it must be used within the next 7 days (even if you place it back in the refrigerator), or it must be thrown away after 7 days.
Do not freeze Kesimpta, because this could damage the medication.
By following these storage instructions, you ensure Kesimpta remains effective and safe for use. Talk to your healthcare provider if you have questions about storing Kesimpta.
