Talk to your doctor before using silver nitrate topical together with collagenase topical. Silver nitrate topical can reduce the effects of collagenase topical when applied to the same site. Silver nitrate topical should generally not be used on wounds treated with collagenase topical unless specifically directed by your doctor. If silver nitrate topical has been used, the site should be carefully cleansed by repeated washings with normal saline before application of collagenase topical. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
