Drug Interactions between Lyfgenia and pegfilgrastim
This report displays the potential drug interactions for the following 2 drugs:
- Lyfgenia (lovotibeglogene autotemcel)
- pegfilgrastim
Interactions between your drugs
pegfilgrastim lovotibeglogene autotemcel
Applies to: pegfilgrastim and Lyfgenia (lovotibeglogene autotemcel)
Since your blood stem cells are used to make lovotibeglogene autotemcel, your doctor will need to use a process called mobilization to move them into your blood stream in preparation for collection. Sometimes pegfilgrastim is used to help with mobilization; however, pegfilgrastim use in people with sickle cell disorders might cause life-threatening side effects such as organ failure or blocked blood flow called a vaso-occlusive crisis (VOC). Therefore, the makers of lovotibeglogene autotemcel have recommended that pegfilgrastim not be used during the mobilization process, or in some cases at all during any steps, prior to treatment with lovotibeglogene autotemcel for patients with sickle cell disease. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
