Major

clindamycin mycophenolate mofetil

Applies to: clindamycin and CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil)

Clindamycin may reduce the blood levels and effects of mycophenolate mofetil. You may need a dose adjustment of mycophenolate mofetil or more frequent monitoring to use both medications together. Contact your doctor if your symptoms worsen or your condition changes during treatment with these medications. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any signs or symptoms of organ rejection such as less urine output (kidney transplant); shortness of breathing, swelling, or less ability to exercise (heart transplant); or yellowing of the skin or eyes (liver transplant). It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
