Drug Interactions between carteolol ophthalmic and metrizamide

Before you undergo any imaging procedure where metrizamide may be given by injection, let your doctor know if you are currently being treated with carteolol ophthalmic. Injection of metrizamide can sometimes cause severe allergic reactions and low blood pressure, and the risk may be increased if you are also using carteolol ophthalmic. In addition, treatment of the allergic reactions may be more difficult if medications like carteolol ophthalmic are present in the body.
