Interactions between your drugs

Moderate

midodrine alfuzosin

Applies to: midodrine and alfuzosin

Ask your doctor before using alfuzosin together with midodrine. This combination may decrease the effects of midodrine. Contact your doctor if your condition worsens or if your blood pressure is not increasing. Midodrine can cause increased blood pressure when lying down. The last dose of midodrine should be taken at least 3 to 4 hours before bedtime. Talk to your doctor about how to take midodrine if you lie down during the day. You may need a dose adjustment or your blood pressure checked more often to safely use these medications together. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
