Usual Adult Dose for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
3 mg inhaled orally twice a day
Comments:
- Administer dose once in the morning and once in the evening using a standard jet nebulizer equipped with a mouthpiece.
Use: For the maintenance treatment of COPD

Precautions
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Hypersensitivity to the active component or any of the ingredients
Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients younger than 18 years.

Administration advice:
- Shake ampule vigorously to ensure complete resuspension of the active component before use.
- After completely transferring the contents of the ampule to the nebulizer cup, use a standard jet nebulizer with a mouthpiece connected to an air compressor to administer the drug.
- In the absence of compatibility data, this drug should not be mixed with other drugs or added to solutions containing other drugs.
Storage requirements:
- Store in the protective foil pouch at controlled room temperature of 20C to 25C (68F to 77F), excursions permitted from 15C to 30C (59F to 86F), maintaining the orientation indicated on the carton.
- Protect from direct sunlight and excessive heat; do not freeze.
Patient advice:
- Read the US FDA-approved patient labeling (Patient Information and Instructions for Use).
- This drug should only be administered via a standard jet nebulizer. Do not inject or swallow this drug.
- Immediately seek medical attention if you experience:
- decreasing effectiveness of short-acting beta-2 agonists
- need for more inhalations than usual of short-acting beta-2 agonists
- significant decrease in lung function as outlined by the health care provider
- If paradoxical bronchospasm occurs, discontinue treatment with this drug.
- Patients, caregivers, and families should immediately contact health care provider if emergence or worsening of insomnia, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, or other mood changes occur.
