Applies to the following strengths: 5 units-2units/0.5 mL; 2 units-2 units/0.5 mL; 10 units-15 units/0.5 mL; 10 units-2 units/0.5 mL; 5 units-2 units/0.5 mL preservative-free

Usual Pediatric Dose for Diphtheria Prophylaxis

0.5 mL intramuscularly in a 5-dose series (at 2, 4, 6, and 15 to 18 months, and at 4 to 6 years)

Use: Active immunization against diphtheria and tetanus in children from 6 weeks to 6 years

CONTRAINDICATIONS:


Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients younger than 6 weeks; this drug is not recommended for use in these patients.
