For Insomnia "I have been taking Zopiclone 3.75 mg for 5 years. It has given me quality sleep, and I feel well-rested the next day. As an elderly person (I am 76), I do worry about side effects such as dementia. However, my doctor said there is no evidence that indicates a direct link between the drug and dementia. Many elderly people I know are taking it long-term. I do not feel any side effects, but you do need to have 7 hours of sleep, so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has to get up early to drive to work. The only downside for me is that I am dependent on it. Once I stop taking it, there will be serious rebound insomnia. You have to decide whether you want to be dependent on a drug for life or endure sleepless nights (if this is what has been bothering you)."

For Insomnia "Took 3.75mg Asleep within 60 mins, woke up after 6h but next day felt like 2-3 hours of sleep - initially feeling energised with a crash around 4h after waking. Metallic taste present but only noticeable when thinking about it Felt severely impaired 6h after waking until bedtime"

For Insomnia "After another 72-hour episode during a depressive dip where I was too hungry to sleep but found it impossible to eat, I decided I'd try zopiclone. The first time I took it was at the end of the 72-hour episode, 7.5mg. Despite having not slept or eaten in three days, I felt completely sober and alert, *until* I took the pill. It seemed to be the catalyst for psychotic symptoms. 30 minutes after taking it, I saw a corpse grow from my wall and my window silently shatter. I was panicking and attempting to text loved ones, who were scared but knew I had taken zopiclone. After an hour of psychosis, I slept like a baby for 8 hours and awoke feeling like a hundred bucks. I felt great. After that, I would only lose my memory of the 4 hours before and after taking it, no hallucinations again. Despite my reckless activity during the amnesia phase, the drug induces perfect, restful sleep."

"I take one quarter of a 5mg Zopiclone (1.25 mg) with 3 mg Melatonin every night. I started this on my respirologist's advice to help me adjust to using my CPAP machine. It worked well, so I kept using it. I have been doing this for 2 years now, sleeping 7-8 hours each night. My CPAP numbers are excellent, and I have more energy. I am 83 and have congestive heart failure that is under control. I would recommend Zopiclone for anyone starting out with CPAP. (I should add I live in Canada with government cost subsidy)"

For Insomnia "I have been taking Zopiclone for twenty years. Chronic insomnia along with depression (for which I was taking Celexa) made life challenging, especially as I was running my own business and single parenting. I am now successfully retired and still take 1/2 tablet... occasionally another half if I wake up in the middle of the night and start having negative thoughts. I know there are risks, but so far at age 78 I'm doing well....despite a diagnosis of Sjogrens a few years ago... still physically active and busy."

For Insomnia "Had insomnia for 20 years on and off and taken zopiclone when I have had episodes of not sleeping. Usually have to take one 7.5 mg to be able to sleep. Occasionally, when it's been really bad, I have taken two 7.5 mg. They have always worked and always got me to sleep. More recently, I have had a long spell of not sleeping going on for several months and taking zopiclone doses ranging from 15 mg to 3.75 mg to manage my sleep, but with the prolonged continual use, I have started to suffer side effects, which are flu-like symptoms with muscle pain and a general feeling of shakiness if I exert myself. This medication definitely helps with sleep but is only a short-term treatment and will cause problems long term."

For Insomnia "Take an hour or so before bed to stop my anxiety and restlessness. It’s been a godsend for me to be able to relax an hour or so before bed, then get about 7 hours of sleep. Sometimes wake briefly, but that’s normal, soon drop back off! I tried all sorts - mirtazapine, sertraline made me ill, buspirone, the list goes on, all made me feel worse. I was sleeping 2 hours, waking, and then sleeping 2. Some nights awake until 5 am! It was mental torture and made my anxiety go into overdrive! The sleep is making me stronger to cope mentally. No side effects, just seems to suit me."

For Insomnia "This medication is incredible for insomnia. Been on it for 4 years, taking it once to twice per week, and I'm guaranteed 8 hours. My biggest trouble is falling asleep, and after an hour of taking it, I'm out like a light no matter what the time is. I would've done a lot worse in life had zopiclone not been in the picture - many exams, interviews, the works."

For Insomnia "I’ve been taking Zopiclone 7.5 mg for about eight years, but over the past year, I’ve noticed some concerning side effects. After taking the medication, I experience a foggy memory and often don’t remember any interactions I have or have a hard time recalling short-term memory. I’ve also been night eating without any awareness of it, which has caused weight gain. Additionally, it takes two or more hours for the medication to take effect."

For Insomnia "I found this medication extremely useful at calming my anxiety and panic attacks during the day and then went to bed at night as normal. I do not drive and would not recommend taking it during the day if you need to operate a car or machinery. Also, if taken during the day, it does not hinder your ability to sleep the next night if you do not take another. Slight metallic taste. Occasional headache the next day."
