Reclast (zoledronic acid) "I just got this a month ago so I can't comment on the results. I do want to say I had NO side effects at all after getting the infusion. In fact, I went straight to work, did fine all day, and all the days afterwards."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "I just got my infusion yesterday and about 4 hours later got a terrible headache, woke up this morning and felt so awful! The pain is terrible, all over my body and get terrible shooting pains in my shins, thumb, hips. My back feels like it's been crushed! Hope this goes away soon! Don't know about getting this next year."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "I chose Reclast over Prolia because of the cost savings. The infusion was given at 9 am and 7 pm. On that night, I was experiencing severe bone pain, fever, sweats, and blurred vision. The pain was so great that all I could do was moan and cry. This lasted for two days, and then the pain lessened. By early morning of day 3, I began to have chest pain. The pain came and went every few minutes for 15 hours. When I called to ask for pain medication, his response was, 'I’m not actively treating you for cancer, go to your primary care doctor.' My oncologist prescribed me this poison, and he didn’t want to help me. When the chest pain started, I begged to come into his office just to check me out. I felt like I was going to die, and their response was 'we can’t do anything for you, go to the ER.' Absolutely no empathy for his patient and clearly did not care for my well-being, physically or mentally. I will never take this drug again! Beware of taking Reclast."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "Had my second infusion three days ago and had absolutely no side effects both times. Experienced a dramatic 7-1/2% increase in bone density from the treatment after 8 straight DEXA scans reflecting consistent bone loss. Could not be more pleased."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "I had a Reclast infusion on 8/20/2019 for the first time. It took about 30 minutes to receive all of the medication. I was given water to drink while there. I left, did some errands, and felt fine. I had dinner with a friend and still felt great. I went to bed and woke up about 12 hours after receiving my dose with severe clavicle and neck pain. I took 500mg of Acetaminophen and started drinking water. I was concerned that I hadn’t consumed enough water prior to taking the treatment. I probably consumed close to 64 ounces of water during this time. The pain subsided enough for me to fall asleep around 8:00 am, and when I woke up later, my body felt achy, and I had a low-grade fever. Those symptoms were uncomfortable but tolerable compared to the severe pain earlier. I continued to take Acetaminophen to help with the aches and fever and woke up on day two feeling fine. In summation, my negative symptoms only lasted 24 hours."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "I am 60 years old and I was also very worried about the reclast infusion after seeing many reviews. I got my first reclast infusion today at 2pm. I drank lots of water the night before and throughout the day. I haven't experienced any side effects, but I will post an update in a few days!"

Aclasta (zoledronic acid) "Had an infusion of Aclasta 10 days ago. Had been diagnosed with a compression fracture of the spine a week prior. I wasn't really advised of adverse reactions and only told I would benefit due to a very low bone score. Had hyperparathyroidism which caused the osteoporosis. After Aclasta, I had side effects of a severe dizzy spell on day 2 and could not stand up; it lasted for two days. I also had nausea and a mild headache. After one week, severe pain in both wrists, could not hold anything, lasted for three days. I have pain in my jaw and eyelids. It is mild but constant. Hope all will come right shortly. I feel tired and slightly achy every day. Hope benefits outweigh side effects."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "I have osteoporosis at age 49. I had Reclast on March 5, 2015. The side effects that I have experienced have been extreme. About 4 hours after the treatment, I felt a crushing sensation from shoulders to hips, difficulty breathing. Movement made it worse. Went to the ER, doctors administered IV Benadryl and steroid. I have experienced bone pain throughout my body, at times not able to move without pain. That has passed after 2 1/2 weeks. I have extreme tingling, itching, and redness in my entire body. The doctor put me on prednisone and hydroxyzine. This has not helped me. I am unable to sleep due to the itching. Has anyone else had these side effects? If so, what did you do to take care of it."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "I took one infusion six months ago. After taking it I woke up in the middle of the night with nausea and my whole body was crippled up. I got to the bathroom and took ibuprofen. Was able to get back to the bed. Better the next day. A few days later I had trouble walking and toes were numb. I still suffer from lower back pain and other side effects. Never again. I won’t know for a while if it was effective. This was much worse than the flu-like symptoms I read about."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "At age 54, failed my bone density had lost 20% of my bone mass in one year. I participated in two blind studies and increased calcium and intake. At the end of studies, I found I had the placebos but had some positive results but not enough. Had my first Reclast yearly infusion in 2012, no side effects, and regained 10% of lost bone at bone scan. Had the second yearly infusion this past October again no side effects, hoping for another positive scan in May."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "Severe dizziness and muscle pain after 8 hours of having Reclast infusion. I could barely walk to my car after shopping at Costco. When I got home, I threw up, my hands shaking from holding my body up from throwing up. My ankles had severe shooting pains, ribs were also hurting. I would never have this done again!!! My identical twin sister opted not to have it done. Her bone density is slightly better than mine. She exercises and does resistance training three days a week. She lifts weights and feels great. I, on the other hand, sit and watch TV, read books, and play on my iPhone, but can’t do any of these things because of the severe pain. I think I am going to start and do strength training to increase bone density like my identical sister before I ever use this drug again! It is poison!!!"

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "I’m 58 years old and had my first infusion in 2018 and then again in 2019. I just had another bone scan and found out my score is exactly the same. Luckily not any worse, but it did not improve after 2 transfusions. I did have flue like symptoms for 24 hours after the first infusion, but was fine after the second one. I take a daily calcium supplement plus D3. I was just curious if it’s normal for no improvement after two treatments. My score was -2.6"

Aclasta (zoledronic acid) "I had two infusions during a two-year period. One day, suddenly, I had so much pain in my upper leg. I had no trauma prior to the pain. A bone scan shows I had a typical fracture on my femur. The doctor didn't tell me about the side effects of the drug. I am so disappointed. I thought the drug was supposed to strengthen my bones but does the opposite."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "Ten days after getting this I had flu-like side effects briefly, and my whole body was itchy with hives. Went to UCLA urgent care last night, I was put in the room with a burning and dying sensation and I waited and waited. I finally ran out asking for Benadryl and unfortunately was disapproved. I ended up walking out thinking I could do better at home. The rash looks like Shingle hives which I am vaccinated against. An antihistamine saved the unbearable itchiness on Sunday. Will never take this in my life and never go to urgent care."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "Reclast is a bad drug. It made my wife terribly ill! All side effects were devastating! It should be removed from use! She is lifeless in bed. Had to take her to the ER for morphine and nausea meds and calcium. This drug is dangerous, and the FDA should be held responsible for its end results and its allowing of doctors to use it in the USA."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "I was diagnosed with osteoporosis at age 47. After completing 2 years of Forteo treatment, I had an infusion of Reclast in Oct. 2014. I didn't experience any side effects from the drug. I walk five to seven times a week, take a monthly RX Vitamin D tablet, and ensure enough daily calcium with almond milk and supplements. My bone scan of 12/2015 shows a -1.3 T Score. I'm back in the osteopenic range - and very happy."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "I had the reclast nfusion less than 1 week ago. First day seemed fine until evening, then headache started. Ended up in bed for 2 days due to exhaustion, body aches, fever and severe headache. 3rd day the pain in my thumbs started, barely able to use my hands, 4th day neck pain, I'm almost afraid what else come up. Debating whether or not I'll take this again next year. Unable to do my normal exercise and stretching due to joint pain."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "I am 52 years old with no other medical problems. After having a Reclast treatment, I have had very few side effects. I took 1200 mg a day of Calcium Citrate and Vitamin D for about two weeks before my treatment and drank lots of water the day of the treatment, before and after. I was able to go back to work the day after my treatment with no pain."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "Hard to tell if this drug worked yet or not but it definitely made me sick. Got the infusion Friday and on Saturday I had a 102 Fever and could barely get out of bed. I had chills, I'm sweating all over the place, and my husband literally had to help me to the bathroom. I was dizzy and every bone in my body ached. By Sunday afternoon, I was a little bit better but four days later I'm still feeling achy and have diarrhea. I won't be doing another infusion."

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "74 years old, has back pain, tests identified 2 compression spine fxs. Conservative treatment failed to give relief, had 2 ESIs (epidural steroid injections), then 2-level kyphoplasty (Vertebral Augmentation for Compression Fractures), next Reclast infusion, felt okay for about 5 hours but later back pain intensified, went to bed, started shaking like chills all over, finally fell asleep. The next morning was so weak, unable to get out of bed; husband rolled me on a rolling walker into the bathroom, assisted me on and off the commode, stayed the same the next day. On Monday felt a little stronger but severe neck and right thumb pain, mostly laying and sleeping in a recliner. Checked with the doctor and received no specific recommendations. The next day was able to go out to lunch but extremely weak, had another ESI 6 days after Reclast, got relief for that day and the next, but pain returned with a vengeance the following day and back in the recliner now 9 days post infusion. Never again."

Zometa (zoledronic acid) "Worst madication I’ve ever had. I got all the severe side effects. Joint and muscle pain, headache, nausea, chest and abdominal pain, chills. This medication is a torture. If you want to experience all kinds of body aches and pain, take this medication. I do not recommend it and I will never take it any more even if I was going to die."

This drug is POISON to my system. It will be in my body for over a year. Will these symptoms eventually ease?"

Reclast (zoledronic acid) "Last year's infusion brought four days of fever, made difficult because I can't take aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatories. After two weeks, I'm nostalgic for those symptoms. This time body temp has stayed in the 96.4 range (95.9 this a.m.), when it's usually 97.6-98.6, so I feel very cold—until I get a savage hot flash requiring me to mop myself off with a towel, at least once an hour. I also have muscle cramps waking me up several times a night (more than prior to treatment). I've been lightheaded and fatigued. I also have fibromyalgia, but these symptoms are different/more intense. The doc told me he can do nothing. I'm frantic because I need to work and find that almost impossible. Anyone else with a situation like mine?"

Aclasta (zoledronic acid) "I had aclasta 10 days ago and had a quite a severe reaction where my body ached terribly all over and I could barely walk for 24 hours. The next 2 days I was left with my body feeling dull pain all over. Since the infusion I’ve had the worst pain in my thoracic area like I have a knife stabbing me and it won’t budge. I had an X-ray no broken rib. Had a massage nothing will fix it. So hard sleeping. I had no idea I’d be left like this."
